WildStar: Choose Your Progression

Carbine Content Designer, CRB_J-Tal, has been spending quite a bit of time on the WildStar-Central forums lately. This week he talked about the three different progression paths players will be presented with in WildStar. And before you get stuck on the word "Path", the types of progression paths being referred to here aren't tied to the player-chosen Paths of Soldier, Settler, Explorer or Scientist that get selected at character creation. Instead he's referring to ways players can expect to progress through the game, including once they've hit the level cap and have reached the "End Game", commonly referred to by Carbine as "Elder Game".

Let's take a look at the three most common forms of WildStar's progression paths.

WildStar Attending New York Comic-Con

As many WildStar fans are probably aware, Carbine Studios has been rather busy these past few months getting swept up in the "hurricane" that is convention season, with its upcoming MMORPG. After making appearances at both E3 and PAX Prime, the Carbine team is headed to the East Coast in order to bring a piece of Planet Nexus to New York Comic-Con.

WildStar Wednesday: CBT 3 Housing Competition

This Week's WildStar Wednesday is live and has brought us round 2 of the WildStar Beta Housing competition. Similar to the previous housing competition, beta testers have gone out on a limb--Mordesh pun unintended--to bring us some of their most unique and creative housing designs. Here's a look at a few of the top houses from the WildStar closed beta 3.

WildStar Mystery and Mayhem Part 3

The much anticipated conclusion to Wildstar's Issue #1 of Tales From Beyond The Fringe is upon us with the release of Mystery And Mayhem Part 3.

WildStar Web-comic: Mystery and Mayhem Part Two

Part two of Mystery And Mayhem, WildStar's weekly web-comic, is upon us. This week it looks like Victor Lazarin is taking the stage away from his crazy--and by crazy I mean absolutely psychotic--Chua counter-part and is giving us a bit of insight about his own race, the Mordesh.

WildStar Wednesday: The War of Gnox

When Carbine introduced us to Galeras, we finally got to see some Dominion vs. Exile conflict. The question is though: Why? We know both factions want Nexus, but there's more to this conflict than merely a landgrab. There's some serious animosity between the races of the Dominion and the Exiles that we're missing the backstory on. It's hard to really jump into a war without understanding why your character hates the other guy, so Carbine's looking to clear that up with this week's blog post and the ones to follow.
