I'm sure most of you have already seen this, but just in case, from 1pm to 9pm EST there is going to be a huge patch: At the following time, we will be performing FINAL FANTASY XI server maintenance on all worlds. During this period, FINAL FANTASY XI will be unavailable. There will be an auction house server maintenance accompanied with a FINAL FANTASY XI server maintenance. For this reason, the expected maintenance time will be longer than usual. We apologize for any inconvenience. *The client software will also be updated at this time. Once this maintenance is completed, the client update will start automatically after logging back into FINAL FANTASY XI. Please follow the instructions that appear on your screen. Thank you for your patience. [Affected Period] From Jun. 28, 2004 10:00 to Jun. 28, 2004 18:00 (PDT) *The projected update completion time may be subject to change. awwwwee.... poor people not being able to play for 8 hours :P... I'd be the same way, but for once I'm happy to be working an 11 1/2 hour shift at work lol, when I get off work is the exact time that the update is supposd to be finished so I just have to hope that I can actually get access to download it right away and not have to wait 3 hours like I did on the last one before I even got to start the download... oh well buh bye

I have been wondering this for a while.
When they do this, what is PDT?

Is that the same as PST?

and what is Japan time compared to all this?

When they do updates, is it only here, in NA that they are updating, or are the Japanese ones updated at the same time too??

PDT = Pacific Daylight Time (as in Daylight Savings)
We in the US are actually on EDT, PDT, etc. right now and NOT EST, PST, etc.

I would assume he is talking about the part in the patch message that mentions thief sneak attack will now do critical damage from any angle when used in conjunction with the hide command. This puts whole new possible dimensions on thief utility both solo and in group.. depending on how exactly this works. We will see ^^ I'm excited being a 54 thief as my main.
