Maintenance and Vana'Diel time

I'm pretty sure that time passes as maintenance is going on. I take my chances with gardening sometimes, and I remember that I had to harvest on a particular Lightsday... that day fell right in the middle of a two-hour maintenance period. Once the maintenance ended and I was able to log back on it was almost Firesday. I had to wait a few hours for the next Lightsday... good thing the plants didn't shrivel up.

I hope, even though time passes during maintenance, that plants are put into a temporary "suspension" until players are able to log back on...

'Course, if you're hunting certain weather patterns for a certain ruby, and the pattern you've been scouting and getting weather reports and eagerly waiting for happens to occur during maintenance, well, you're screwed for a couple more days.

Straight from the source:
"Mannequins are now available to display equipment in players' Mog Houses.
There are eight types of mannequins, one for each race and sex. The mannequin's face cannot be chosen.
Also, mannequins are not limited to job restrictions. Almost any combination of equipment is possible."

My thought on the "Mannequins" is that they will be a furniture item, you would be able to store armor in it and when you have the armor stored in it then it would display the armor on the Mannequin.

Which means you could buy your armor before your a high enough level to wear it and be able to see what it looks like.
You mean there's a real world out there?

This throws everything off, eight hours our time, 1 week FFXI time. Am I 1 week younger or an hour older? And I hope all my plants r ok...lol

I don't think any time passes during patch hours :)

If time didn't passed during downtime, then all those external timers (including the official SE FF11 alarm clock) would be screwd wouldn't they?

Most likely, the date/time/day in vanadiel is determined on RL date & time, so yeah, time passes by in vanadiel even when you can't get in.. =(

yes the time has to pass because of the conquest thing, every conquest update is on the same exact day, Sunday i think, so im pretty sure the time will have to pass in game, we just wont be able to play it
