Daybreak Maintenance: Monday, April 27, 2015

All games can expect a three to five hour downtime Monday morning.

Daybreak Games will perform a general maintenance beginning at 7:00AM PDT on Monday, April 27th. The current estimated downtime for this maintenance is three to five hours, depending on the service.

This maintenance may impact the following Daybreak services across all games:

  • Commerce functions, including purchases, for all games
  • Game logins
  • Web logins for all Daybreak sites, including account creation
  • Forum access (login, posting, and viewing abilities) for all Daybreak games.

Here's our handy Time Zone Conversion Tool to help you plan.

Updates on the weekend??? That is the peak playing time. That is like saying hey why the hell are these construction crews fixing the roads in the middle of the day and not the weekend? Most people are at work or probably in school during the week day hours and home on the weekend.... Think about it.....

P.S. I work every Saturday and have Mondays off, normally they do maint. on Tuesdays, but new company and all

I do not complain much about EQ I love the game but really need to change the spawn times back on named mobs. I do not expect them to spawn every few minutes but maybe after 10 PHs would be nice. being selfish I guess seen the kids play a lot of sports and such so can not play EQ for hours at a time.

We are all suppose to know in detail exactly what is wrong by some one saying "fix the MERCS!" Only cause mercs was in capital though and had an exclamation point after it, otherwise we wouldn't know what is going on. Daybreak is also suppose to be able to know when some one talks about a game they own from any website in the world and get to fixing the problem right away. Okay i know im being a real smarty pants but its not like Roamer121 is ever going to come back and read any of these posts anyway or going to actually post in detail what is wrong with mercs. If he does ill gladly edit my post to point out that i was wrong.

EDIT: Roamer121 had a whole week to respond. Looks like i was right about him not coming back to reply or post details. Thanks goes to rom060469 for actually explaining what was wrong with the mercs.

  1. Daybreak is having a general maintenance for all of their games; the downtime is not a patch of any type, nor is it targeted to any specific game.
  2. We're not Daybreak, and therefore have zero influence on issues with mercs. You would be better served posting about the problem(s) (hopefully with more specifics detailing whatever you believe needs fixed, plus portraying your issue constructively) on the official forums for whichever of EQ or EQ2 you're upset about.
  3. This news post is visible to both our EQ and EQ2 sites, and both games have mercs... so really, you'd have to be more specific about which game and what the issue is for your fellow players here to respond in kind.

I will be specific, the Mercs on EQ (specifically the Damage Caters as well as the Melee Damage mercs) are constantly switching stances to passive, therefore they are useless while in combat. Even when I reset them to my desired stance, they behave as they normally do in passive mode.

As a temporary fix until they can actually patch, try this. Open the Mercenary Management window. Click on the word "Stance" to re-arrange the stance order. Set the stance you want to use.
