Pre-Order Bonuses for EQ and EQII Expansions

We are the harbinger of your destruction.

EQII Expansion Screenshot

EverQuest and EverQuest II have expansions coming up, and - like with most expansions - there are pre-order kits available. What do you get in them? Well let's find out!

EverQuest: Rain of Fear pre orders come with the Harbinger's Staff and Fear Corrupted Phase Spider Metamorph Totem, both of which are only available through the pre-order. The standard edition comes with these, plus seven additional items, including a painting, an idol, a pair of storage cases, and a bracelet. The Collector's edition comes with even more, including a house pet and an upgraded Rucksack.

EverQuest II: Chains of Eternity, meanwhile, comes with a Cloak of Mourning that's exclusive to the pre-order. Regular edition gets two Scrolls of Ressurection plus Drinal's Scythe as a mounted replica. The Collector's edition, however, includes several powerful potions (including a six hour double experience potion), a Firiona Vie Memorial Tapestry, and a werewolf mercenary companion.

Pricing has been announced for both expansions, just in case you need to start saving those dollars. EverQuest: Rain of Fear and EverQuest II: Chains of Eternity come in at $39.99 for the standard edition, or $89.99 for the collector's edition. Preordering the collector's edition will currently carve that price down to $59.99, adding another sweet bonus to the bundle of loot.

If I were to pre-order Rain of Fear now for the currently set price of $59.99..... does that amount need to be paid now or is it paid as in all the previous expansions...ON THE ACTUAL RELEASE DATE ?

I am sorry I am holding the Medicare Voucher in one hand and food stamps in the other... SO this is an important question. Please overlook my poverty......

You will be charged the day it goes live. Late Nov or Early Dec unless they released a release date that I havent seen.

You are not charged until the expansion goes live. When you pre-order, you will receive an e-mail that confirms the order and states when you will actually be charged.

Really?Just because you don't like it doesn't mean that it's not good. I don't mind them recycling character models. I mean there are only soo many different animal types in Nature, many of them look similar if not the same. And how can you consider the following crap: Level cap increase from 95 to 100, a Hunter System, an Aggro Meter, a Collection System, an Improved Brokering System, New Linear Item Progression, Customization with non-visible armor, Class-specific stat distribution, More than 1800 New Spells (Ranks 1, 2 & 3), More than 550 AAs, More than 3500 New Item,s, More than 3000 New Tradeskill recipes, More than 110 Quests, 13 new Raids, 9 new Zones, and 19 Missions.

And if I'm going to buy it later, why not preorder it for the same price and get some "useless crap" as you call it? I got a few items from preordering some of the expansions that helped me.

This is nothing new, especially with the last few expansions (was expected).

"Level cap increase from 95 to 100"

Again, nothing new (was expected).

"Aggro Meter"

In my opinion, this will just make people even more lazier than they already are.

"Collection System"

Big whoop. This is just an extension of the already implemented achievements.

"Improved Brokering System"

This should have been in the last expansion (at least we were led to believe it was).

New Linear Item Progression

Ya, this is new, but not very exciting.

"Customization with non-visible armor"

Ya, this is new, but not very exciting.

"Class-specific stat distribution"

Ya, this is new, but not very exciting.

"More than 1800 New Spells (Ranks 1, 2 & 3)"

Again, nothing new (was expected).

"More than 550 AAs"

Again, nothing new (was expected).

"More than 3500 New Items"

Again, nothing new (was expected).

"More than 3000 New Tradeskill recipes"

This is encouraging.

"More than 110 Quests"

Again, nothing new (was expected).

"13 new Raids, 9 new Zones, and 19 Missions"

Again, nothing new (was expected).

None of the above is going to stop me from getting the expansion, but there is nothing in it that is revolutionary. Basically the same old thing rehashed.

crap expansion from sony

This is a crap expansion Sony is just reusing the graphics and char models for Velious expansion. Litterally you can copy your maps for Kael and Eastern waste right over on top and everything is the same. Same char models same mobs in the zone just raised the level cap. Isnt this what they do when they do the temperary revamping of zones like Unrest, and such. This is hands down the worst sony expansion ever.

^^<<<<Not only has this person not read their NDA, but they didn't read their post either (learn to spell for one...litterally/ temperary...really? lmao). Reading is obviously not a hobby of theirs in any capacity.

up to $89.99 weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

hey botters get out your wallets......................

they should discount expansions if they want people to buy and continue paying for multiple accts..........

The more accts you have the better the incentive or something like that. 1st acct X Ammt and discounted past that every other acct extra, its not an unrealistic or rare practice

otherwise its back to 1 full expansioned acct till better deals show up to encourage extra accts.
