Banks Emptied as Guild Wars 2 Trading Post Goes Fully Live

Jute and copper fly out of banks as the Trading Post goes live in Guild Wars 2.

Perhaps the issue that has been highlighted most in the first days of Guild Wars 2 has been the lack of Trading Post. It seems the wait is now over as it has been released for everyone to use.

Already, items that are components to the legendary weapons are up for sale -- for around 15g each -- and the materials that have been filling up bank slots are being pushed out on the market.

The fully usable Trading Post was announced as part of the daily status updates that ArenaNet has been posting on the official Guild Wars 2 wiki.

Check it out for further news on bugs being worked on -- including some Personal Story progression issues -- and some reminders on account security. Gaming fan sites have been hacked, which should serve as a warning to make sure your game password -- and preferably email too -- should be different to that used on websites.

With the Trading Post's arrival are there any bugs left that you find very troubling? Or are you happy with the state of the game?

Let us know below.

The only other bugs that have been "bugging" me besides the trading post being down are the dungeon bugs. Lately the ascalonian catacombs has been glitching on certain fights and even to the point of not being able to complete the last boss which gives 15 tokens in explorable mode. It is kind of hurting gear upgrades.

Other than that, the game is great and I am enjoying it greatly. It will be even greater when the kinks get smoothed out.

Was it only in explorable mode you got the bug? I know there have been a few instances of bosses bugging a bit (not a surprise early in MMO releases but I know how annoying it can be).

I hear Zhaitan has been failing to spawn in Orr.

Excellent advice, exactly what I preach to friends and family, but AFAIK, no GW2 fansite has been recently hacked.

What Anet meant, and what I alerted them to when the hackers started attempting attacks on my account, was that over the past few years, several fansites and forums have been hacked. Most of those were related to World of Warcraft, but my information was stolen from a popular Aion site a couple of years ago, as well as a RIFT site, a SWTOR site, as well as some guild websites. Also, Codemaster was hacked, not to mention the PSN and they did get into Blizzards system, just recently.

In most cases the hackers just get email information, but for some of the less secure fansites, they do get passwords in clear text, because the amateur website owners aren't knowledgeable about turning on salt encryption for their website, or the software just doesn't support it.

Anyway, I just wanted to comment on this, since it reads like a GW2 fansite has been recently hacked, but to my knowledge there hasn't. I'm concerned that some readers might think, "Well, I don't belong to any GW2 fansites, so my information is safe." when in fact, the hackers probably already have their information. So everyone needs to make sure they use unique passwords for every single account they have, be it gaming related or not.

I suggest using one email for your games, then a different email for your websites. The most secure, super paranoid method, is using a different email for each game, but that can easily get you in trouble later, if you lose access to the email account due to inactivity, and find yourself needing it.

For passwords, I just use a Notepad text file, saved right to my Desktop and I log the website/game, my username, password and any security challenge questions. Find is a great search feature, and I use it when making a new password, to avoid duplication. I keep the file backed up in 2 different places, weekly, just in case of a HDD failure.

Very good points Gaedjin. And you're right, how that was written could be misconstrued, I'll adjust it.
Thank you very much.
