As announced on the official Facebook, there will be another stress test for August 21. Will this be the final time to put the servers through their paces before Friday night/Saturday morning?

Or might we have more to come in the next couple of days?

Put your speculation below.

Now to the announcement by Rubi Bayer:

"We will be conducting a stress test tomorrow Tuesday, August 21 from 12:00 Noon PACIFIC Time to 4:00 PM PACIFIC Time.

We will be actively working on the game during the event, so you might experience connectivity problems or discover features that are not working as designed.

Any issues you experience are a result of the rigorous conditions of the stress test, and are in no way representative of

the state of the game at launch.

By participating in this stress test, you’re helping us make Guild Wars 2 a better game. Thanks for your cooperation—we’ll see you in-game!

Please note:
* The stress test is open to anyone who has pre-purchased Guild Wars 2.
* Characters will not be wiped from the previous Stress Test.
* The Stress Test will include Spanish text localization."

Anet displays understanding of customer partnership
# Aug 21 2012 at 11:35 AM Rating: Decent
Many progressive development houses talk about creating a partnership with their fanbase, but what they actually mean is trust us - give us your money and let us do what we want to. Anet, hasn't necessarily shown that they will listen to the fans as it relates to content, but they have basically taken the concept of releasing the game "when its done" to an interesting ideal whose measuring blocks are driven by user feedback. Setting up multiple beta weekends starting almost five months prior to game release and having many stress tests invited their customer and fanbase into ensuring and determining the final game's quality.

So many other game's "open-beta" clearly is rolled out as an early advertisement period for the game - SWTOR's betas were at times almost unplayable and lets not even get into Final Fantasy 14. Arena net held strongly onto its ideals for quality, began very early in training their user base into basic testing, and feedback, and I believe will have the first MMO I can remember in a long time released cleanly.

We'll see!
