Azimuth Circle

Master, master! How are you holding up in this horrible heat? You've made the Sunbreeze Festival a smashing success, kupo! And now it's time for the main event--"Azimuth Circle"! Azimuth Circle has rather complex rules, so I'll have to drill you beforehand, kupo. First off, the game can only be played in pairs--everyone must be in a party of two. So you must begin by searching for a partner. Coupling with a good friend would be ideal, of course. But even if you aren't exactly the most popular master...no problem! Just ask around, kupo! And then, um, ummm...oh yeah! After that, just talk to a moogle with your partner and say you want to start the game, kupo! Then the moogle will tell you where your partner should go. It will also tell your partner where you should go! So you and your partner have to relay information between each other to figure out where to head next, kupo. Each of you should reach your checkpoint with good teamwork! Examine your checkpoint to find a hidden compass. The compass will point in the direction that your partner should go, so both of you should use this information to help each other out. Work together to find all of your checkpoints and each of you will find a doll at the end of the trail, kupo! Last but not least, trade your doll with your partner and then trade the doll that he found to the moogle, kupo. End game--the moogle will give you beautiful swimwear to beat the heat as a reward for your efforts! Nothing like going for a dip in the ocean in this scorching weather, kupo! Ah... I almost forgot! I have a message here from Azimuth of the Alchemists' Guild! Here's what the inventor of Azimuth Circle had to say, kupo: "The name 'Azimuth Circle' comes from this gadget we set on a compass in the old days so we could verify directions proper. I'm not vain enough to name a game after myself! Anyway, I hope you and your partner become good friends while playing. Maybe you can even invite them to join you again later wearing the rewards you gained from playing. I wonder what games you could play with them then...haw haw.........!" Ahem...yes, Ms. Azimuth is certainly a unique old... Anyway! Where was I, kupo? Oh yeah, Azimuth Circle. Please join us in the festivities, kupo! Master, master, get up and get out there! It's time to find a partner for Azimuth Circle! -Event Details This event is scheduled to commence at July 28, 2005 17:00 and will last until August 15, 2005 0:00 (PDT). -Event Locations Southern San d'Oria/Port San d'Oria Bastok Mines/Port Bastok Windurst Waters/Windurst Walls

Yeah ok so I'm so psyched about wearing a swimsuit in game that I've begged my husband to reinstall so that I don't have to go hunting for a partner. Imagine fishing in it! lol

This one will be taking place inside of the towns themselves and not in the wild or dungeons.

last years quest was similar, they stuck u in very hard places, but you had perma-invis/sneak until u had to examine the ??? . which was the tricky part.
Also, to get the +1's of last years stuff, u had to complete the quest with 1 of every other race type, including your own. That would be nice. and im sure this will be the swimsuits, but i wonder like the previous poster said, will we get both pieces? could be a looong time to get the +1 of both pieces.
lastly, i see that the +1's improve clamming even more... with all the new fish related stuff, aquariums , etc. wouldn't it be great if we could dig up Silica.. seeing that 6 spawns in a 40 capped zone is a bit rough.. and seeing is how pugils drift around those clamming spots.. i can dream...

lol, I have been searching the forums like mad to find out all the info on this new event, I'm glad to see SE has finially released the official info. I look forward to doing this event as it will be my first one >.< Also, does anyone know if this gives you the full suit, or does it only give one part and you will have to win the other part at some other point in time? Oh well, guess I will have to wait before heading off to Jueno becuase I sure do not want to miss this event! Oh and Caterpillar, from what I have gathered from other posts, this event may take place in town or a rather low level area where agro should not be a problem. Sounds like a maze, not a crawler.
???swimwear style???

i hope you're not sent to too difficult of locations for this quest. I'd hate to be sent deep into some dungeon i dont have the map too for this, while my partner has to go to East Ronfaure. Maybe it'll be field zones only, since those places dont go too high in level, can be choco'd through, and can be easy to avoid aggro in if you are low level. I'm sure they wont make it so that only high levels can get this gear.
