I'd only worry about scientist being in charge if they start wearing green lab coats and using underground bunkers miles beneath research laboratories. Though, it wouldn't be too far in the future. Maybe Sunday, A.D. We'd probably be pretty SoL if that were the situation.

All I said was that if they can prove they're right, people should listen. Otherwise you're deliberately being wrong for the sake of being wrong.

I didn't say people should be forced to do what's correct. You tangent far too easily, gbaji.

>Implying they aren't already. Minus the miles underground, apparently that digging that deep isn't necessary.

Never seen how scientists run their labs, have you? Think about it. There's this naive assumption that science is all about people with no egos at all allowing the truth to rule. In reality, egos abound, reputations are tied to theories and results, and adoption of your ideas, often by a completely authoritarian process, is how you get ahead.

This from someone who has consistently demonstrated a complete ignorance of anything remotely related to the scientific professions.

You watch too many movies, dude.

Ghostbusters taught me everything I need to know about science.

Well, yeah. Unless I'm mistaken, the general rule is that anything after Ghostbusters is "too many movies, dude."

#164REDACTED, Posted: Jul 31 2011 at 10:21 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Naww bruv, just thought I'd let you know that you're a @#%^wit. If you can't participate in a semi-serious political discussion and articulate yourself without having to resort to some pseudo-meme of a sh*t "hurr durr we r hacker legun never forgive" imageboard which has become the domain of rebellious teenage types, your thoughts aren't worth sharing. I'd tell you to get your sh*t together but I don't reckon there's much there in the first place.

'Articulate' isn't word of the day anymore, man. The word you are looking for is 'express'.

Today's word is 'winnow'.

Please let it be at stake.

In what sad part of the sphere do you originate in which "articulate" constitutes an elephant word?

It doesn't, you just misunderstood what I was getting at. I mean, that it isn't is part of the joke, the other being that word of the day type schemes are kind of rubbish in a certain way; if the words you're learning are pretty common, that makes it worse. This time I'm mostly referencing a few days ago when Nilatai was abusing it.

I hope this post is boring enough to make you reconsider 'calling me out' all the time.

Yeah, I read the other thread. I thought it was stupid then, too, but I thought it was safe to ignore without seeing it crop up again.

Heheh, ok, the "house negro" line had me spewing Coke Zero through my nose. As for the White House silverware, I'm sorry, but I'd have to check and count each piece since Obama is so devoid of ideas for income sources beyond revenue, err, tax increases.
