spawn point (WoW)  

A spawn point is a pre-chosen location where an object can appear. That does not mean the object will appear there, as the game developers often set up multiple locations where something can enter the game world. This is most evident when collecting herbs for the first time, as you will find Peacebloom and Silverleaf in the same locations over and over, but not constantly.

Both NPCs and ground spawns have spawn points.
