Quantic Gaming blasted onto the eSports scene back in 2011 hosting some of the biggest names in eSports and continued to impress right up to their recent acquisition of Orbit Gaming’s League Of Legends roster.

However it seems that this evening, Quantic Gaming is the latest eSports casualty after a day of speculation following a tweet from Complexity CEO Jason Lake.

With eSports organisations fighting over key sponsorship deals in a competitive environment, that sees teams get cut overnight and only an elite few able to secure high end sponsors, it was only a matter of time before eSports claimed another big name.

Quantic CEO and Founder Mark Ferraz stated on Twitter -
“Don't believe the hype. No drama here, just not enough growth to justify pushing forward. I'm very sad, but it's for the best... “

With the eSports market in such a state of competitiveness and Quantic’s teams unable to haul in the high end results that sponsors look for, as Mark says, there was not enough growth to push Quantic to new heights.

With Quantic hosting an extremely large player base, who are now on the hunt for other teams to showcase their talent, we now have an extremely large talent pool that other organisations can dip into to strengthen their place in the eSports scene.

With another team falling victim to the harsh realities of the inustry's business model. we have to step back at how new and fresh the world of eSports is and how quickly things can change for even one of the biggest teams in the business.
