Congratulations Monika T'Sarn for Unlocking the Force Sensitive Slot!

Monika T'Sarn of the PA Combine on the Intrepid Server unlocked her FS today. Akinom T'Sarn (her FS character) is the first player confirmed JEDI INITIATE in all of Star Wars Galaxies. I had the pleasure of seeing her the day of the announcement an even greater pleasure to duel her. So a HUGE congratulation to her on this most sought after accomplishment. Now onto the details I am sure you all are dying to know. Please realize Akinom was being literally pounded by questions so I kept it brief as possible.... What she did with her original character to unlock her Force Sensitive slot is as follows in her own words: Here's what I did, from start to the end. Human female artisan, starting in Bestine. Master Medic Master Creature handler Pistoleer up to 2444 Dropped Creature handler, pistoleer Master Marksman Commando 0440 Doctor 4430 Got my first three holos from dark troopers in the naboo faction dungeon, 2 red 1 blue First holo told me to master ranger. Dropped all medic+doctor, got master scout, master ranger. Second holo told me master doctor. Dropped all scout, got master doctor. Third holo told me master weapon smith. Did that. Fourth holo was silent. After the fourth holo I mastered artisan and brawler. Other stuff: Finished the rebel theme park, did some other rebel-related quests. Did the Jedi-quests on dantoine ( or dathomir, not sure, from the Jedi in the cave with the dark Jedi outside ?) Not much else in quests though. Got the two monthly badges on the rebel side, no others. Placed a house and declared residence, yesterday. Was rebel colonel, the highest rank, for a long time. The slot opening message came at the first mob she killed today on dathomir, a female picket longhorn. ------------------------- Monika T'Sarn, Combine www.the-combine.net Now in some Rapid fire follow up questions by the pistoleer correspondent Philosopher1976 and others the following information was gathered: Additional information on what her main character has done: She finished mastering her last profession 1 week ago. She says that she has visited every town on every planet. She was never married. She never intentionally visited a static POI, she says. She killed the piket maybe 10 minutes after she logged in. Before killing the piket she buffed herself and took a shuttle. She placed and declared her first residence yesterday, her new Jedi character has access to the house. She never sold goods from a vendor. She says that the one type of mob/NPC that she never intentionally killed was Jawas. As far as faction perks go, she has bought some armor, several NPCs, no buildings. She has visited a battlefield, but not often. The battlefield was PvE. She did none of the Hermit quests. She never used the matchmaking feature, and her friends list was between 20-30 people. She did not do the Endor Maurauder quest ... she only did Rebel-related quests, the theme park, plus some quests on Tattoine and Corellia. She never looted any force crystals or force-related items, aside from this petrified egg that she looted. Information on her New Jedi: She started with a mineral survey kit, a chemical survey kit, brawler newbie clothing, and a generic crafting tool. She had to make a lightsaber crafting tool, then make a crystal, then make a saber. She says that making the second saber is buggy and does not accept her newbie saber as an ingredient. Here are the stats on her lightsaber, according to her: Training, Light Sabre AP rating Medium, Damage type Kinetic, 94-189 damage 1.4 speed and HAM cost of 5/5/5 Her Jedi has the same HAM as the rest of us. She is not TEFed unless she USES A SPECIAL, so she can walk around town freely otherwise. She was dueling people and could not be attacked because she was just using the default auto attack. Based on a quick scan of the combat spam she was hitting between 45-60 PVP per hit with the default attack, which corresponds with the current equation we already know (1.5 damage modifier, divided by 4 for PvP). There are two different types of XP on the skill tree ... lightsaber XP and Jedi XP. She gets the lightsaber XP from killing things with the saber (obviously). She said that the "Jedi XP" works like Combat XP does. I asked her how she trained her first skill ... she said that there is a trainer (not a Holocron) that she gets the skill from. The trainer is in Wayfar. The Jedi trainer is disguised as an artisan trainer. She can group and fight with other players, sharing the XP with them. She can also be healed by non-Jedi.

hey everybody. i been lookin for a good game to get into and its a toss-up between ffXI and SWG. i was wonderin if you could fill me in on some of the stuff about this game. i think the jedi are totally wicked sweet but from what ive read its unbelievably hard to acheive such a rank. how many hours does it take to master things etc.. any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

SWG is awesome. I love it. I have also played some ffXI and it was nice too. The graphics in ff are beautiful, and the loading time between the decent sized maps is fairly quick. So in the end it all boils down to your personal preference. SW fans will most likely stick with SWG and ff fans will tend to for XI. Either is a good choice. But since it's been almost a month since your post you've probably already made the choice. In which case i'm just wasting my time, but hey, I'm in class and we're not doing anything important right now.
By the way... Yes the FSCS is a tough goal to reach, but it's fun along the way.

I here there are jedi and sith holocrons, does that mean i could be bad and still become a jedi, heres what i origanally, thought it sounds dum but here it goes,so everyone knows that if you become a jedi you would start out as a good guy or rebel,i thought that if you would do things such as kill tons of imperials and turn the tides of battles and killed many imperial officers that you would eventually find your way into the force, sounds dum huh? but anyways i guess all i have to do know is follow those holocrons,no matter how hard they are.

All these guesses on the path to jedi... so few of them with much thought. It's been released in the press, magazines, web forums... everywhere. The way you unlock the jedi is by doing what your holocrons tell you to do. If your first holocron tells you to master marksman, then master marksman before you open your next holocron. After the first task is mastered, then open the second holorcron, master what it tells you to... and so on and so on. There are five things you must master. 4 of the holocrons tell you exactly what you need to do and the fifth holocron is silent, meaning that you need to master the right profession based on pure luck. So somebody may get it immediately and it may take others a year to get. Basically anyone can become a jedi if they've got the time and patience. Me... I'm gonna stay bounty hunter, I don't have the time or patience to do the whole jedi thing, at least for now... So any non-imperial jedi reading this... watch your a$$es.
get your flex on chic.

Hey guys I just became a jedi last night and it is so easy just do the jedi quest and the level up for about an hour and you will unlock your slots but you have to have lots of meele and you will unlock your slots and there is your jedi if you will like to meet me and become my apprintce then post a message for me I am now a jedi knight and i can fight like 12 people at a time it is great I would like to dual Akinom T`sarn to see if she is to be a true jedi. Once you get to Knight you can have a padwan so she can be mine and I can train her to be stronger faster my name is (Neozin) and i am for the light side my (lightsaber dose hitting between 110-180 PVP per hit) (AP rating Medium, Damage type Kinetic, 150-230 damage 1.0 speed and HAM cost of 3/3/3) I will not kill you Akinom you only have three lives so it will be just to make you stronger post back to me if you get this any one......let us join forces

How can a person like me (a guy who has a job works 40 + hours a week) find the time to become a jedi against increadible odds. It sounds impossible, then if i ever get one i have to skill this FSS character up without being seen and i can never die? Look i love the game and i would love to be a jedi but it doesnt sound possible for everyone.
i will help you

i agree with the fact that she probably is a dev. I dont think anyone can be a Jedi and i think it is a waste of time. At least you know that you can become a bounty hunter and kick the crap out of these damn Jedis.

jeezz you guys, yall need to chill. so she made jedi, that's cool for her. why do you want to hunt her down it's not cool. she made it by blind luck, and remember, in the star wars universe, only a few people are jedi so it stands to reason that in an accurate game only a few people would make jedi. i havent got the game yet so i wouldnt know but it seems to me we all just have to go with this. keep it real people. -{dark one}

Doh - Look at her path to Jedi - she Mastered Creature handler - then dropped it. She earned master Medic/Doctor 4430, then dropped all medical skills!! These are moronic actions, indicating indecisiveness (remember - she has no info from holocrons at this point), wasting time and effort (a woman's perogative to change her mind perhaps?). She should have realized that she didn't like pets or the medical professions prior to aquiring master status!! She then has to start over with Medic/Doctor after she has erased all skill points in these trees since her second holocron said so! She had no freakin' idea at the time she would qualify for Jedi later. I mean, we don't even know if these action even contributed to her becoming a Jedi. We do know, however, that spending time to master a profession, then dropping it without any just cause is a waste indicating stupidy. Most rational players won't waste time like this, hence won't ever become Jedi's??? hmmmmmmm....yah lets all recognize her "hard earned" achievement for becoming a Jedi - whooptie doo.....this is all we need - a bunch of show-off Jedi idiots running around the galaxy....this random game system for becoming a Jedi does an injustice to the spirit of the Jedi from the books and films,.... any bounty hunters handy???

and your words are clearly ones of anger, arisen from jealousy, coming from lack of understanding, which you fear. listen to yoda. clearly you are not ready to be trained as a jedi. she trusted her feelings as far as professions went, and look where it got her. wasted time and effort? how so? did she have fun and enjoy herself? this is what matters. having fun is hardly stupidity. however, getting upset over someone elses achievement may be. try taking things a little less seriously. what she did, including mastering skills then dropping them, may be exactly what is needed. is it so terrible to arrive at jedi by having fun and doing what you want and trusting your feelings? does the fact that she did this in a way you do not understand disturb you? if you consider such things a waste of time, then indeed, you never will become a jedi.
may the force be with you

I'm appaled at the whole Jedi system...hearing the merchants advertise Jedi Holocrons for 6 million on the streets. To unlock your FSS it seems you need stupid blind luck and more time than a normal human being has to play this stupid bug filled game.....

Ya grats to the new "Jedi" for stumbling into her FSS with stupid blind luck. Look at her path to the Jedi - then forget it because it won't work for you. I think SOE has a completely random system that requires an absurd amount of game time to qualify for a miniscule chance to have the force sensitive slot open. For the vast majority of you who want a logical system for becoming a Jedi, you will be disappointed. You can put in even more game time than the First Jedi and probably will never have access to your force sensitive slot.

ahem, just to let all you little kids know her way of getting Jedi wont work for any of you. A little known fact is that you have a predecided path to follow the holocrons just tell you what professions to master. i just have to so congrats though, anyone able to get 4 holocrons is worthy of recognition, with all this dantooine cave campers (wussies).

One solid way to get jedi for those whom care is to master every profession and get enough exp to relearn that profession 3 times, once thats done drop that profession and learn them all then start over again, do this until your our of exp and you should have fulfilled your path.
