The Metal Gravitates Toward WoW Steins at BlizzCon

Taverncraft reflects on meeting Jack Black and Cannibal Corpse's George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher at the convention.

However, the biggest surprise of the night was yet to come. While on stage during the concert, Black was drinking from a Fiji water bottle and complaining that the bottle was not rock-worthy. He exclaimed he needed a flagon and not a bottle with a waterfall before tossing the bottle into the crowd. After finishing the song "Wonder Boy," Black picked up the Alliance United Legendary stein he had just purchased, took a long drink, and proudly exclaimed, "the flagon with the dragon is the brew that is true." He then offered a toast to drummer and "little known" bandmate Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters who, despite having been involved in a serious bicycle accident the day before, insisted on performing at BlizzCon's closing ceremony.

Shortly after the concert, George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher, the vocalist for the death metal band Cannibal Corpse, stopped by the booth and purchased the Tankard O'Terror after exclaiming it was the coolest item he has seen in a long time and just "had to have it." He is a huge World of Warcraft fan and reportedly has four accounts, as well as a Horde tattoo.
