Equipment Manager Postponed

According to a post by Bornakk on the WoW forums, the upcoming Equipment Manager feature planned to be added with Patch 3.1 will no longer be going live with the upcoming content patch.

"Certain issues were encountered with the upcoming Equipment Manager that could not be resolved in time for release with the next content update, patch 3.1. In order to ensure that this feature meets our standard of quality, we will be taking some extra time with the Equipment Manager and it will instead be released some time after patch 3.1. We understand that this feature is a widely anticipated addition and apologize for this minor delay." (-Source-)

Could this mean that Patch 3.1's release is coming soon? Discuss it over on the WoW General Forums.

the pvp/pve thing seems to be real hard for blizz,
here is a basic formula they can use

can class (a)remove the hitpoints of class (b)in the same time that class (b) can remove class (a)'s hitpoints?

if the answer is...
yes? then you have balance and a win can be obtained by better gear and or skill level or less lag.

if the answer is...
no? this is unbalance, and needs to be fixed, this is probably more important than adding a little more shade to a tree
in some part of the world no one goes to, or thnking about what colour the next season tier gear is going to be.

is it really that much of a hard thing to do?

Blizz probably realised that this should be an addon and they will now sell it for a fee in their new addon store.
pathetic

the fact that blizzard CANNOT seem to rectify the PVE vs PVP situation and YOU NEED 2 sets of equipment is just PATHETIC and highlights Blizz's inability to maintain any sort of continuity within game between PVP and PVE and the new expansions. Blizz's best trait seems to be their ability to INVALIDATE old content with a new expansion...sadly...
pathetic

From a marketing perspective, it makes perfect sense to go "out with the old" and "in with the new". More money for them. And while I'm on that topic, what incentive is there to fix wintergrasp when warhammer is no longer a threat?
