Preorder Available for Collectors' Arthas Novel

As we've mentioned, the second novel based in the Warhammer Online universe was recently released. Well, Warhammer's not the only MMO focusing on books. I'm sure many of you have read a Warcraft novel or two, and now you have the chance to preorder a limited hardcover edition of "Arthas: Rise of the Lich King." It comes in a leather gift box with author Christie Golden's signature.

The novel, as the title suggests, focuses on Arthas Menethil's dark journey toward the Frozen Throne. So if Wrath of the Lich King has piqued your interest in Arthas' story, this book may be worth picking up. Golden has written 25 novels, including "WarCraft: Lord of Clans." She even launched TSR's Ravenloft line with "Vampire of the Mists." The Arthas novel will be released on April 21.

So what are your thoughts on MMO novels? Do you read books set in the World of Warcraft or are they not worth your time?

I've read almost all of the other novels (I only have 3 left).

I'll probably be getting this one.

I haven't read any MMO novels before but I would certainly be interested in this novel. I got into WoW because of how much I liked the story in Warcraft III. Even after reading the cliff notes version of the entire history of WoW lore, Arthas' story is still my favorite. I would like to know more about Arthas prior to him becoming a death knight and ultimately the Lich King, as well as what all happened between the end of Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne and WotLK.
