SAN DIEGO, CA (February 17, 2009) – 3 Point Entertainment today announced that the next stein in its World of Warcraft® Epic Collection series will be available for shipment in April and will feature the artwork of Alex Horley. Rise of the Lich King will be the third in the series of high-quality old world-style steins based on Blizzard Entertainment®’s massively multiplayer online role-playing game. In addition to the Epic Collection version, a high-end variant edition branded the Legendary Collection will be offered concurrently.

The new Rise of the Lich King stein will prominently feature the malevolent Lich King Arthas Menethil, the central figure in Blizzard Entertainment’s recent Wrath of the Lich King™ expansion set, along with his undead army. Premier fantasy artist Alex Horley has been chosen to bring to life his interpretation of the Lich King. An advance look at the Rise of the Lich King pencil artwork can be seen at wowsteins.com.

“The successful release of Blood of the Horde and Alliance United, the first two steins in the Epic Collection, has firmly positioned them to be some of the bestselling steins in North America,” said 3 Point Entertainment president Jerry Bennington. “With the popularity of Wrath of the Lich King, we know that the World of Warcraft community will be interested to see Alex’s bold and imaginative rendition of Arthas.”

To complement the Epic Collection, 3 Point Entertainment will debut the Legendary Collection, a high-end limited edition variant of the Epic Collection steins.  Each Legendary Collection stein will feature substantial upgrades to include hand numbering, hand-signed autographs by the artist, as well as premium hand-painted accents.

Each Epic Collection stein stands over 10” tall and is handcrafted from authentic fine-grain stoneware and features panoramic bas-relief sculpting and a solid pewter lid.  The World of Warcraft Epic Collection steins are currently available at www.wowsteins.com for a retail price of $89.99, and the Legendary Collection will be offered at a retail price of $174.99.
