WoW: Molten Core Coming to Console!Apr 1st, 2008 at 7:32 AM by tovin

Today is April Fools....and while some people seem to be enjoying it just a tad bit much, the rest of us are stuck trying to figure out which news to post for real, and which ones to let fly by until tomorrow!

This one was to good to pass up though!  Blizzard has announced World of Warcraft: The Molten Core will be coming to console!  The Atari 2600 no less!
Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. announces its long-awaited return to console gaming with World of Warcraft: The Molten Core™, a spinoff of the 40-person raid dungeon from its award-winning massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), World of Warcraft®. World of Warcraft: The Molten Core will allow players to experience the excitement of the hit raid dungeon in a completely new format, with new challenges and new rewards.

"Blizzard got its start in console gaming, and we've always been excited about returning to this arena," stated Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "Additionally, we've wanted to reintroduce the 40-player raid dungeon experience for some time. With World of Warcraft: The Molten Core, we're able to do both."

I'll have to dig out my Atari!

Being one that grew up in the days of Atari 2600, Celleco and a Tandy computer I can't remember the full name of, I loved this 4-1 prank. Sad fact is in those days my friends and I would have given our left nuts for a game like this. I thank God we've come so far.

The Celophane TV over lay about made me choke. I'm still laughing. Too much time on their hands or not that was a great and obvious joke. WTG BLIZZ!!!
