At least your 16 year old is the one knocking someone up rather than being knocked up. And now you get a grandkid.

Is she 32? This might work out okay.

He'd fit right in with my extended family.

Do you need someone to help bury his body, or have you already taken care of it?

Can't bury him, he needs to take care of a baby now, maybe some waterboarding.

Jokes aside, this is obviously a tough time and it sounds as though she will be keeping the baby. I hope that the baby and parents will receive love and support from both sides and the baby is ultimately a blessing despite the hard road ahead.

Well, my mother was pregnant with me before she was married and at 16 years old (She got married about 6 months after she got pregnant, to my father). I'm a mostly successful individual and my parents are still together 34 years later.

So all hope is not lost!

Well, some people here may question my mental health...

But I am college educated, have a good job, own a home, etc.

At 16 I'm assuming finances will be an issue for him. I'd recommend you tell him to start researching the aid he can get, WIC, etc.

Use the life insurance payout(he died because of an accident, after all) to hire someone less stupid to take care of the baby. Duh. Smiley: tongue
