Now that is funny, Gbaji telling someone to try for something more realistic. Pot, kettle, kettle, pot.

The militia have reneged on their offer to leave if asked to leave by the locals. On the other hand, the Paiute nation has stepped in, saying the militia is squatting on sacred ground.

But the BIG news is #bundyeroticfanfic, for once a reason to be proud of Twitter.

If there's one thing that armed western militias have a stellar record for, it's respecting the wishes and land rights of indigenous tribes.

I consider this case closed.

Clearly Bundy now has to stay and defend our government from Injun Indian attack.

I'll play your game, Google, you humorless hack.

Oh, I don't expect Ammon and his fabulous ammosexuals to care about indigenous people. However, the Feds might, moreso than they care about the birders, at least.

I bet you'd take the Birders more seriously if they were called anything else.

The USPS should say that they're unable to deliver to that address at the moment due to the stand-off but packages may be picked up at the local post office.

Except they're not defending themselves since they're not under attack.

Except that's the only condition in which they said they would use violence. If they were attacked. So as long as they aren't under attack, they aren't committing violence. Get it?

Quote:
The government has owned that land since the 1930s to begin with, and you can't steal what you already own so they're also not defending the community from land theft.

Except for the string of land grabs the BLM has engaged in since the 60s, which is the whole point of this protest.

Quote:
Even Zimmerman had more reason than these militant extremists.

What do you mean "even"? They aren't related, except in your own mind as some kind of scale of "things I agree/disagree with". I have not said I agree with what they are doing at all. I have merely said that what they are doing should not be labeled "terrorism". And I stand by that assertion.

Quote:
Living in a fictional world isn't really all that realistic or usable to me, but I'm not trying to defend terrorism like you are. But keep those strawmen coming.

A. I'm not defending anything.

B. I don't agree that what they are doing is terrorism.

You're turning this into an issue of whether I like/dislike or agree/disagree with something. But I reject the assumption that we should choose to apply labels based on that criteria. That's the part you just aren't getting. I can simultaneously disagree with something someone is doing while also arguing that what they are doing is not terrorism. Can you? Because it seems like this is where you are getting tripped up.

You can "reject" it 'til you're blue in the face, but you crying "BUT ONE PLUS ONE IS THREE BECAUSE THREE IS A PRETTIER NUMBER" won't make it true.

So you are arguing that we should label something as "terrorism" based solely on whether we like or dislike the people involved? That seems like an untenable position to take, but you're free to do so if you want. So, in your mind, all black people are criminals? All Mexican's are lazy? All Asians are good at math? Just checking to see how far this thought process goes for you.

Is it an "attack" to remove someone from a place where they are illegally holed up, and making threats of violence if the authorities do their job and remove them from the land they are illegally inhabiting?

So if I go to the park in downtown Los Angeles, and I put up barricades, and tell the news outlets that I am not leaving and no one else is allowed on the land, and if someone comes to take me off the land, I will shoot them, I am within my rights?

I've only been skimming gbaji's post but I don't think he's ever said they were within their rights to do this. Maybe he did but its certainly not stated in what you quoted.

To put what you said in context of what you quoted, you would not be committing an act of violence until you shot someone. Everything prior to that is trying to get someone else to instigate the violence.

It's not a bad plan, send in a few drones with Snickers bars and bags of Cheetos, get them used to seeing drones as friendly, and then bang! take 'em down like a Yemeni wedding.

The last Yemeni wedding I went to served Snickers and Cheetos. I guess, if you're going to get drone striked (drone struck?), there's no sense in paying for the open bar.

First celebrity death of 2016 this Sunday, as David Bowie died of cancer at 69. Vanilla Ice can't be far behind.
