Reading that article about the cover makes me sad. It's another example of radical feminists burying a somewhat worthy cause under a mound of horseshit because they're imbeciles.

They're no better than the assholes who pull the racism card every time someone looks at a person of color the wrong way - or calls them black or colored instead of 'person of color', Nothing offensive is intended by it, so why do they even care? Why even? WHY?!

I mean, their opinions don't offend me. I may not agree with them (mainly because they're wild accusations), but I respect their right to think and say whatever they want - within the limits of the law. What does offend me is that their raging tantrums are having an effect on my daily life. The various industries are standing in line to bend a knee to their adolescent behavior, and that pisses me off.

Oh, and the hypocrisy. One moment they're raging against men for putting scantily clad female characters in video games, the next they're salivating all over a picture of a scantily clad male model in a magazine. And when you point it out, they revert to the childish tantrums and retorts like "Well, if you're allowed...", at which point I'm like "Lead by example, asshole!" Tends to cut the conversation short, which is better for my blood pressure.

Speaking of which, I need a drink after reading that article.

Not much of a bandwagon, then, is it? All you're doing is undermining your own insult. You both seem to think you're laughing at disunity in the ranks, but there aren't any ranks in the first place.

Two people disagree about a film.

Just because someone misses the bandwagon when they jump doesn't mean it is not there.

This example just shows how people interpret the games and other media to suite their agenda. Just as an example of something that was held as a flag for both extremes.

Kind of like Scrotty McBoogerBalls.

I'm just amused that the same movie that one person is using as an example of an attack on GG is the same movie that another person touted as a figurehead by many anti-GG thought was a sexist piece of crap. Ultimately, however, I think they're both idiots.

I think that as someone who can enjoy a movie purely on its spectacle and the quality of its action and eye candy(both in graphics and human varieties), I'm pretty sure that I'm more or less the target audience for that very bad but ultimately enjoyable movie.

I like the mix of army of me they did for the film; other than that it looked boring enough that I avoided watching it.

Agreed. When people you disagree with agree with one another, it's proof of a bandwagon. When they disagree, it's proof that they're too stupid to orchestrate the hivemind they're obviously gunning for. Thus every possible input is captured and translated into an affirmation of your crusade.

I liked Sucker Punch. I mean, it's a terrible movie and I'd never tell another person "Hey, let's watch Sucker Punch" but it's still fun to watch in a live-action cartoon sort of way.

Today is apparently national cleavage day. My twitter feed is filled with both the greatest new wallpapers and the most ridiculous drama. For instance, Lionhead Studios apparently got pressured into pulling this tweet in celebration of the day.

Is it possible for you to link directly to things rather than to some third party site that references those things, and which also happens to be on some kind of banned site list at my work? I literally can't click on about 80% of the links you toss out there. Not that this thread isn't ridiculously absurd and hard to follow already, but that just ads icing to the cake.

Using archive.today is the hep thing for people to do since it (a) prevents the page in question from changing -- such as the removed Tweet -- and also (b) deprives the original source of ad revenue. When you see an archived Kotaku page or something like that, it's typically (b).

Archive.today is nothing more than webpage capturing site although I guess it might be banned since someone could use it to circumvent the rest of your company's banned list (archiving porn site or whatever).

Yeah, since they pulled the tweet under pressure, the archive was literally the only way to view it that I know of(I guess I could open the archive and screencap it, but that's like, work, man). Seems too new to pull up on the way back machine or anything.

Good to see things that were figured out in the 90s still need to be researched.
