Pay-per-review is all the same problem though. Likely you'll get a few people pandering to your group writing reviews they think you'll want to hear rather than truly being independent. Fair and balanced, etc. Moreover don't be surprised if it makes everyone else's game reviews more biased in the process as you're no longer part of their target audience.

So, apparently we're buying a sea-lion. Yeah, I have no idea either.
Edit: Okay, so apparently some people were accused of "sea-lioning" someone, so they decided "***** it, we'll crowd-fund a sea-lion and name him Ethics". I still don't get it. But that's apparently the explanation.
