Obama . In Poland. (Which is in Europe).

"We stand together because we believe that people and nations have the right to determine their own destiny — and that includes the people of Ukraine," Obama said before a crowd of more than 6,000 that spilled into the streets before Royal Castle, a symbol of Polish independence.

"Our free nations will stand united so that further Russian provocations will only mean more isolation and costs for Russia," Obama said. "Because after investing so much blood and treasure to bring Europe together, how can we allow the dark tactics of the 20th century to define this new century?"

"Bigger nations must not be allowed to bully the small, or impose their will at the barrel of a gun or with masked men taking over buildings," Obama said. "And the stroke of a pen can never legitimize the theft of a neighbor's land. So we will not accept Russia's occupation of Crimea or its violation of Ukraine's sovereignty."

Congratulations! Your HopeyChangey President is even more of a fUcking moron than the last dropkick you allowed to get elected.

You lot need to have a rebellion and evict these twats.....or something. Because they have absolutely no grip on reality whatsoever.

To be fair, Americans don't exactly have the greatest track record when it comes to European geography.

Is this the bit where we all try and guess what your stance is? Beyond 'Obama is bad' it's not exactly clear.

I bet he'd have been able to think of smarter title for this thread.

Your posts about surfing were cool. These occasional visits to slam the US are just bitter.

You're being too specific. Paulsol's stance is "everything America (and probably everybody else) does is bad".

I like the guy that goes out of his way to label Paris but puts it in ******* Normandy. Hardly the most egregious mistake, but extra hilarious because it's made trying to show off.

While we're being fair, my US geography is awful.

Is this because varus mentioned France AND Europe the other day?

I couldn't do a much better job than some of those, honestly. I did like the one that made Bosnia? I think? into a ghost.

I've got three globes and multiple atlases at home. They all tell me different things.

Geography is like a wardrobe. Pick the world that matches your shoe.

I'm pretty confused by this topic, admittedly. What exactly about the quoted speech in the OP is indicative of being a ******* moron?

Given Ukraine's complicity (forced, but still) in at least two partitions of Poland, I'd say that could have been phrased differently. ALSO: Something about Ukrainians being death/work camp guards.

I couldn't relabel a map outside the boroughs with any degree to boast about, but at the same time I can't imagine that ability being useful for anything.

Hey now, the European map did not require you to name the various regions of each country.

Here, name the islands.

We clearly need a more neutral test. Where a map of SE Asia when you need one?

The European map is also more than three locations, and a lot of those various regions in this country are bigger than locations on the European map.

The land masses of the US and Europe are nearly identical (3.7m square miles versus 3.9m) and the number of countries in Europe is identical to the number of states in the US (50). I'm thinking it's a reasonably fair geographical comparison. I'd expect a slight advantage for the US folks, just because of at some point studying WW1 and WW2. The results seem about right really. Pretty much everyone in the US was able to locate the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, and Russia, with things getting more vague from there. And pretty much everyone in Europe was able to locate California, which is frankly all that really matters.
