As absentees, provisional and oversea ballots are counted, Obama's lead continues to increase. Romney is expected to end up at around... 47%

I'm not so sure about the military. A military Democrat is just as taboo as a black Republican.

Colin Powell is not a Democrat, he's a moderate Republican. Smiley: tongue Just because someone votes for Obama, doesn't mean they're a Democrat.

I'm going to assume that since he underlined the "black Republican" part, that's what he was posting a picture of, not a military Democrat.

Saw this on FOX News.. I was noticing how everyone kept talking about getting the Latino vote when there were more Black votes than Latinos. When Laura finally mentioned about getting the black vote, Former Dem, turned Republican states (in the last minute of the video) that black people are "off limits" to the Right wing.

Also, if you go to the Romney Facebook page, you can watch the # of likes goes down if you refresh it.

That may have more to do with it no longer being an "exciting" election season anymore, so they don't want to see what Romney is up to on their news feed. You know, since he's a loser and all.

Obama's page is trending upwards in likes. America loves a winner.

In your defense, there's very little about him that is black.

Florida found 1,000 uncounted ballots in a warehouse in Broward county.

Obama's margin was well greater than that and Broward went overwhelmingly for Obama anyway but, c'mon you guys...

Thank goodness they don't use voting machines, then we'd have to worry about fraud. :)

Yeah, yeah smart guy. Be even better if the voter put the paper ballot directly into the reader so it was immediately counted and also left a paper trail in case confirmation was required. Smiley: tongue

I've no clue how Florida does it but, at this point, I imagine it involves a dart board and wren entrails.

Money quote:
Quote:
The supervisor of elections, Dr. Brenda Snipes, said this happens all the time, especially when dealing with paper ballots.
[...]
Snipes said there is no reason for alarm. "I've run several elections here, and this election was run no different than any other," she said.

Maybe she shouldn't run elections, then?

Romney manages to whine like a little ***** and say he only lost because Obama gave "gifts" to youth, women and minority voters.

Note that when you lose on contraception, health care and immigration it's not that you lost on those issues that youth, women and minority voters might care about. It's because they were gifts.

There belief that everyone who don't agree with them are lazy bums looking for a handout isn't the best way to win people over.

It's funny that Republicans are decrying the buying of Democratic votes with handouts, when their biggest selling point was that you'd get cold hard cash in the form of something like $2,000* in reduced taxes.

After the election, during the usual post-mortem, the GOP pundits all said "why would we listen to Democrats? They don't want us to win!"

Well, the reason we can tell you honestly what you're doing wrong is because we know you'll be saying minorities just want "Santa Claus" and are easily bribed with "gifts" and saying you only lost because of Hurricane Sandy or liberal media or skewed polls or whatever anyway. It's not as though there's a real risk that the GOP will actually listen or change.

Plus, if the GOP actually took the advice and changed their core positions, it pushes the "center" further and further to the left. Which is pretty much what has happened anyway in terms of social policy for the past 200 years - the gradual progress of social progressivism - but it doesn't hurt to nudge it faster.
