They could be shooting wall street execs. Or is that form of protest only acceptable for Doctors?

Protesting a museum seems really stupid. Almost as much so as worshiping a god.

I'd rather worship a museum and protest a god.

It's American Spectator. That's like someone someone from Mother Jones was talking trash about the Tea Party.

It seems rather silly to protest a museum, but what are people's thoughts on this whole occupy wall street thing?

If only there was an entire thread devoted to that topic. Someone should totally go back in time 5 days and start one. Just make sure you call it "Occupy Wall Street"

My thoughts on the matter are "they can do whatever the hell they want as long as they stay the **** away from my airplanes!

Perhaps I misunderstood you, but isn't the gist of it that a conservative reporter wrote an article about how he infiltrated the DC museum protest and purposely worked to agitate the situation in order to get a better story, resulting in getting pepper-sprayed?

Yes that was the Gist, worded more accurately then what I edited out, and did not put back in, since I could not think of the right way to say it.

I don't know the reporter in question from Adam, but I'm unclear how one gets that gist (other than it being claimed and then repeated several times by his detractors). Unless he somehow managed to become a member of the "Action committee" which planned to storm the museum exhibits after less than a day of infiltration, then this wasn't his idea. He just went along with it to see what would happen.

The "gist" of his story is that liberals appear to be long on talk and not so long on actually doing what they talk about. It's kinda ham-fisted on his part, but I don't see where he was the one who instigated the whole thing.

Yes, God forbid that they choose not to swarm a small force of security guards and invade a museum, and instead, many of them chose to remain peacefully outside. Smiley: dubious

This is true. As near as I can tell (from his very biased account) he was simply following the crowd. I don't know where Locke got the idea that he was instigating anything.

I'm not a big fan of protesting outside. That would be the absolute last resort for me.

You prefer protesting indoors, where it's nice and comfy?

Why do it outside when you can do it inside? If you're doing it right, you can do just as much damage or more from the inside of your own house..... oh, technology, how I love thee.

You sound fat. Maybe get away from your computer and out more.

You're confusing "fat" with "smart". Think smart not hard. What benefits are there for protesting outside if you can just as effectively protest from inside?

Reminds me of this clip from Boondocks
