Am the only one amused by it?
No. I too am somewhat mystified by the new found compassion towards Muslims and the efforts made not to offend them.
I'm sure the letter of apology to Ghadaffi about the deaths of his Grandsons in the efforts to protect Libyan civilians (as per UN 1973!) is already being penned.
Someday you may surprise me, but not, it seems, today. You look for opportunities to see the worst in us.
Of course with the sterling example of Mr "F
Ucking Quotes, How Do They Work?" up there, I can't say you always have to look very hard.
I dont look for the worst in 'you' or anyone else.
I post my thoughts about what I see around me.
Sorry if you dont like it, but I'm afraid I'm pretty nauseated by the sight of thousands of 'civilised' people whooping with joy on the television about the death of an irrelevant old fart.
I feel the same way if I see anyone else whooping with joy about death and destruction.
It just makes me realise what a potentially shallow easily pleased and happily manipulated species we are
if we allow it.
Does no-one take a moment to think what led to this and what this
will lead to?
Again. Sorry if you dont like it, but I have a pretty low opinion of anyone who celebrates death and killing as though it is an
answer to something. Its not. Its just another step on the descending spiral of violence that cannot possibly have a happy ending.
Misplaced feelings of revenge and retribution have driven this **** for years, and the pictures of celebration I see only make it obvious that people on both sides are happily looking forward to more of the same.
