Apparently, all Australians should only refer to themselves as "Commonwealthians". Cause it's wrong to use the continent name for your own country. Those greedy bastards!

And no, Alma. I don't think it's silly. Not even when you put it like that.

Really? Are you trolling now? Or are you actually being serious?

Once again, please pay attention. What have you been reading all along now? That has been stated, agreed upon and not disputed since the beginning. The entire argument is based on the fact that is indeed what occurred.

The term "America/n", as much as the U.S. owns it, is not a unique term, but we use it as such. That's the entire argument. We've taken a term that represents two entire continents and made it represent a single country as opposed to creating a term that only refers to the U.S.

I think the fact that you stated the premise as a response tells me that you're out of material.

So where does it stop Alma? If we don't speak English, if we're speaking American, how do you break it down further than that? Because the "American" we speak in the south can be a lot different than what people in the north speak. We have our own terminology that's only found here. So we'd speak Southern American then? And then how about the differences between Louisiana and Tennessee?

WHERE DOES IT STOP??!?

Since I read posts first, it doesn't matter that I don't have friends.

Decent point? What point is that? What I read was a counter to an argument that no one was even making... I'm not quite sure how that's a good point in this discussion...

Well it wont be the fist time you have contradictory beliefs. You think it's arrogant to call our version of English, "American", but see no problem calling U.S citizens "American".

There's actually a difference between British English and U.S English, but Joe is still an American living in Canada, Utah, Mexico or Brazil.

I'm positive it's a complete shock to everyone that you have no clue what's being said.

What is it like, having no ability to extrapolate?

Under the circumstances I suppose that's an impossible question for you to answer.

I know what is exactly being said, I'm wondering why it's being said? Why are you asking me "when will it stop" when I've explicitly been arguing that it shouldn't have ever started in the first place?

How do so many people look foolish all at once, it's not statistically favorable.

Not the one who asked you that, and I continue to be unsurprised by your lack of abstract reasoning.

You really can't suss out what Nadenu meant? That's just disheartening.

No.

And I'll tell you why: it's pointless.

You have a problem. I don't know whether it's a thinking problem or a communication problem; but whatever it is, it prevents you from either understanding or relating ideas more complex than a simple linear conclusion. You can get from A to B as long as there's a clear path; but as soon as another variable, or God forbid a relevant vector, intervenes you lose it. You probably don't even realize that other people aren't like you.

I have no underlying compulsion to play into your disability. I don't get a kick out of it, and I don't think it does any good.

Sorry.

Soooooooo basically you have nothing. You could have explained it in less words than the paragraph above. I asked for clarification and gave you the benefit with out a doubt that I possibly misread the post. That tells you that I'm being reasonable in admitting any error on my part. Instead, you pull the "I know, I know, I know, but I'm not going to tell you" game, which makes you look real childish.

If you're not going to make a correction, then don't bother pointing out mistakes. You're just wasting space, as this is grown up talk with no room for children and their petty games.

Edit: I thought of another possible interpretation, but after rereading the post in question, I seriously doubt that was the intent. If it were, I would have an answer anyway.
