Only 2 questions, really. First, do you know what depraved means? Second, what do the sexual activities of a person have to do with their knowledge of & insight in to environmental issues (or complete lack there of)?

Personally I don't give a ****. I didn't care when Clinton had his cake and ate it too in the '90s. This sure isn't going to annoy me. Man is an animal, and politicians aren't immune to nature's call.

What does annoy me is when a party sets up a large part of their platform on "moral behavior" and then gets caught doing exactly what they're preaching against. This has happened time and again. Gay GOP scandals, Cheney railing against homosexuals when his daughter is a lesbian, Palin railing about abstinence-only education when her daughter was a pregnant unwed teen...

Again, to me, even these things wouldn't be scandals if the people involved didn't pretend to be morally superior.

I'm just curious, how does the fact that Palin's daughter didn't do what her mother wanted reflect on Palin? Every teen in the world rebels, to some extent, against the wishes and desires of their parents. It looks to me like the child would have been able to avoid the situation altogether if she had listened to what her parents were teaching.

Clinton wouldn't have been impeached if he'd said "Yeah, I got a hummer in the Oval Office." He was impeached for lying about it, and should have been impeached for lying about it.

As to the larger issue, it's easy to not disappoint when you have no baseline and make no promises. Standing for something, even if it is their own twisted fundamentalism that they would love to codify in American law, should be respected. Personally I don't think people who can't practice what they preach should probably not run in the first place.

Both of those things. Also: the rhythm method is pointless. Pulling out is pointless. The pill doesn't prevent STDs. Oral and **** are just as risky. Etc. etc. etc.

Conservatives refuse to address these issues with even post-pubescent teens, and so when nature takes it's course (as it inevitably will), they are not prepared and do not know all the consequences.

Not a bad idea, assuming we do this at a young enough age to ensure that we're supervising their first experience. Newbies need guidance and mentoring.
