I'm certanly no iphone fan, and seeing one destroyed is always a plus, but gluing one to some 500+ year old stone walkway components is just stupid. That epoxy isn't coming off, and the few things out there that can probably clean it besides just chiseling it off are going to do more damage to that stone than they are to the epoxy. Replacing a large curved piece of stone like that is going to cost thousands.
I highly doubt that stone has been there for 500 years. More likely 50 or less.

What if the bird will not sing? Nobunaga answers, "Kill it!" Hideyoshi answers, "Make it want to sing." Ieyasu answers, "Wait." Timelordwho answers "Just as Planned."

That video would have been more amusing if... ummm... anything happened. It was four minutes of people poking at the phone with their toe or trying for a second to lift it and then walking away. It's not as though anyone flipped out or acted super excited; you could have glued my old Motorola flip phone to a rock and seen people try to pick it up just because it's someone's phone lying on a walkway.

I'm going to get super excited about a new iphone when they bring out a super energy efficient one.

I don't think that reverance or respect for the dead needs the dead to be hidden from sight completely. It is the attitude that you bring, as a witness to a dead body, that matters, not the display and witnessing of a dead body, per se.

I still may check out that new Windows phone. I've never cared about the iPhone though. Even when they first came out, I was all "oh, that's neat!" but never wanted to get one.
Fun fact - I work in a call center now and on the other side of the divider from me is a Sprint call center. The calls they're getting over the iPhone 5 are pretty lullzy. One woman called in crying and hysterical because she missed her phone delivery because Sprint didn't call her and make sure she'd be home.
