Well this week is turning out to be sucksville.

Tuesday, a 22 year old guy who stayed here at the mission was stabbed to death. He had just started a good paying construction job and was sending $ to family to help them and *pop* he's gone.

And now we hear about Kyrin...

Man, that's just totally depressing. Bijou's young man was just on the edge of such promise for having a happier life. And Tsinafu's lost someone of his own. I wish you two well.

*I reach my right hand up to your shoulder, and my left arm out to your waist, wrapping it around and pulling you close. As we come together, body to body, my right hand can reach around your upper back and neck. I rest my chin on your shoulder, and pull your head down to rest on mine. I stand still and let your body warmth soak into me, as I gently squeeze my arms around you and tip my head into yours.*

Thanks, Ari.

Ordinarily, this would derail into realy inappropriate stuff in the blink of an eye, but this thread is not for that.

Mebee tomorrow.

*I rest my head on your shoulder, glad to have a friend who understands what I'm going through.*

I tend to bottle death up. I'm fine for a few months, but then the emotions tend to errupt to the surface in a fit of rage, tears and alcohol. I wouldn't reccommend it.

I need to be more open with grief, aparently it's healthy...Smiley: frown

They had just found out he had cancer a couple of weeks ago, but it was supposedly still in its early stages.

Not many people do. I got up about four times this morning, long before I was supposed to leave for work thinking about it.

Over the last week, in addition to Kyrin, I heard about the recentish deaths of my former latin teacher and a few regulars on that forum where I used to post around 2005ish. Smiley: frown

What is it at the moment...

Perhaps I'm that "psychopath" your mother warned you about. Frankly, while the "death" of a forum user, while sad, ultimatly I don't give a toss in the long run. I didn't sit up crying about it or even give it a second thought.

It amazes me that while death sucks, just how many people, particularly in this county, run away from it. It's going to happen. Make peace with it.

But you did enough to spread the good news about your emotional superiority.

Why does it amaze you any more than seeing a man fleeing from a gunman?

It shouldn't. Self preservation and all that as instinctual behavior.

That's hardly the point but thanks for twisting it.

Seriously, did any of you know her personally? Take a self-examination and think about the effect that a screen name is having on some of you people.

Don't start with self-preservation ya ****. It wasn't literal.

It's people like Katie that says **** like, "Oh gee, she was only 36, how tragic". Well, what age would have not been tragic for her family and friends?

It doesn't matter. One of the things I've learned on the internet is that behind every "screen name" is a real person. Whether or not you have been physically close to them or not is completely irrelevant.
