BTW anyone have CoD:BO2. I really liked the feel of the guns in MW1-3 I felt they had impact, but I realy disliked WAW and BO (I could deal with BO alittle) I felt in the Treyarch games I was shooting a pellet gun, the bullets seems to do overall less dmg and give no impact, people felt more "bullet spongie".

Is BO2 any better in this regard? This is mainly a multiplayer gripe not really a PVE(Zombies/Story) issue

I was in the beta for it, 2 things I didnt like were red dot/flashlight blindness and getting killed from no where.
Btw I'll try everything before I decide not to like it, I had Origin installed, I just didn't like it or the possibilities it held over my games library if I even made a mistake.

Dead Island was pretty glitchy at launch, but a week later modders made it pretty great. Graphics were good, Melee combat was head & shoulders above Skyrim's, & it was fun.

I'll probably nab the sequel.

Since there's BF3 talk I've been playing it on the PC for a while. If you add me to your friends list (Slippy1st) I'll be more than happy to ignore you.

Battlefield 3 is $9.50 at GamersGate, Bad Company 2: Ultimate Collection is $8.55. (all prices assume use of elder-geek.com coupon code for an extra 5%)

Witcher 2: Enhanced Ed. is $6.45

Dead Space 3 is $39.99 at GG as well (coupon won't apply).

[Edit: My 20% discount won't apply to the single copy of DS3 but applies to the 2-pack. So I could get two copies for $28 each. Primary issue being that I don't know that I'd play it any time soon and don't need two copies.]

$55 seems to be the settled "Buy It Now" mark for the Bioshock: Infinite/Tomb Raider bundle on eBay. Not a bad deal for $110 worth of games at release. Assuming you intend to play them immediately, of course -- no good to backlog them until they're 66% off on Steam.

If you don't want to risk someone sending you a used code from ebay, and don't want to drop the money on a new video card right now (I'm actually seriously considering buying this because of the game bundle), Gamersgate has the best deal I've seen so far for Bioshock Infinite:

Gamersgate Email of Doom wrote:

This week we re-launched our pre-order for BioShock Infinite! Not only can you pre-order the Season Pass, when you pre-order the original game you get the following bonuses:

30% Back in BlueCoins
A Free copy of BioShock
A Free copy of one of the following titles:
Spec Ops The Line
The Darkness 2
Civilization V
BioShock 2
Mafia 2

The pre-order offer will go live on February 22nd (Friday) at 6pm GMT!

Provided you'll use the blue coins, that's a good deal. Even better if you have the 20% Comp discount. You can select the game without the extra titles, get the 20% off and the blue coin refund, bringing your total to about $28. I think you still get Bioshock 1 but I assume everyone on earth has Bioshock by now.

Speaking of, my AMD card off eBay arrived today. Unscratched!

I fully expected him to do this but he sent it in the mail. I didn't really have reason to complain since neither of the games are available to download yet. Hey, it's his forty-six cents.

Amazon changed their BS:I offer to $30 in 2K credit after release. Too many people buying the pre-order, using the initial $15 credit and canceling the order.

We warned the rep that would happen but he wanted to try it anyway in the vain hope the internet wasn't completely made up of scammers. Now they have the data to the contrary.

Steam decided to answer this question for me. Black Ops 2 MP is free for the weekend. Spent about an hour playing, honestly I don't feel it handles to bad, it's alittle off, but I can chalk that up to not having played a spectacle shooter(or twitch shooter) recently. Did a few rounds of Normal matches, and Hardcore matches, Utterly failed on Hardcore (<1 K/D) and did ok on Normals (>1 K/D). Part of that I will guess is map familiarity, as I haven't played any of these maps and don't know the ambush spots.

Don't bother with sniping in BlOps2. It's only manageable in 3 maps and, all 3 leave you out in the open when you try to snipe.

Meh, I never really tried to snipe in any of the CoD games (Cept Cod4:MW on a few maps) as most of the maps dont fit with sniping in general. I'm more of a SMG/AR type person in twitch shooters. Planetside 2 on the other hand, I love to snipe.

My impression (from watching my brother play on his 360) is that sniping is fairly useless in general. Guns seem relatively accurate at long range, so assault rifles handle distances almost as well as snipers.

Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition is $5.69 on Gamersgate with 5% elder-geek.com coupon.
Dragon Age 2 is $2.65 w/ coupon

Or get both in the Complete pack for $7.59 w/ coupon

Amazon's had the pack for about that price point once or twice before but I haven't seen the a la carte pricing on DA2 for that low previously.

Almost makes me wish I didn't own all the Dragon Age series!

Speaking of which, I watched the movie "Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker" last night. It was TERRIBLE. Do not watch it; it looks like the final project of an undergraduate graphic design student.

Atrocious Smiley: laugh

By the way, DA2 is now $3.99 -- I guess GG was due for a pricing error.

I stand corrected, I just received the card in the mail yesterday. It was pre-scratched though, so maybe I should return it for a replacement. Smiley: lol
