On the other hand, it could be kind of cool if everything hit at once.

Bam! Meet the Pyro!
Mass Effect ending DLC!
Supreme Court ruling!
Guild Wars 2 release date!
And top it off with the Steam Summer Sale!

It would at least be entertaining on sites like reddit.

$14.99 is a fine price to pay for Syndicate. I actually reviewed that one, if anyone's curious.

Been hearing good things about Spec Ops. That's a big discount considering how recently the game came out. Haven't given it a shot myself, though.

I liked The Darkness II well enough. Great voice acting and I liked the art. Game play was entertaining. It was far overpriced at $50-$60 but $12 seems fair for it. It is short -- my run through the single player took maybe 6-7 hours total and I doubt there's anything going on multiplayer.

Also, this.

For today only the Civ V Gods and Kings expansion is on sale for $19.49 at Green Man Gaming.

No link; the power is out at the office so I'm messing around on my phone.

Amazon has new release "Spec Ops: The Line" on sale already. It's $25 for the PC Download version, $45 for the 360 version, and $50 for the PS3 version.

A few other deals as the Steam forums continue to go ape irate over the still-not-yet-occurring Steam sale...

Civ IV & V pack - $11.99 (note that IV is "complete" but V is base, not GoTY)
Civ V: Game of the Year Edition - $24.99 (I'd personally go with the above and get your DLC piecemeal as you want it, assuming you don't already own Civ IV)
Battlefield 2 Complete - $4.99
Mafia II - $14.99

A Bethesda pack was just added to Steam. Labeled as "Bethesda Collection (Summer 2012)"

Note: Not available for purchase yet, the link I posted is a background registry monitoring site for steam. Basically, when they make any changes behind the scenes, this site notices and logs it. It's basically where bundles and such show up before you see them in the store.

Contains:
  • Brink + 4 DLCs
  • Fallout: NV + 5 DLCs
  • Hunted
  • Skyrim

All come with all available languages.

If we do not see a Midweek Madness go live this Tuesday, consider this as confirmation that the sale starts this week.

EDIT: Similar packs are up for the developers 1C and Stardock.

1C pack:
  • Men of War + DLC
  • King's Bounty + DLC
  • Cryostatis
  • NecroVisioN
  • Theatre of War
  • Space Rangers 2: Reboot
  • Rig n' Roll
  • Condemned Heroes

Stardock pack:
  • Galactic Civilizations II: Ultimate Edition
  • Demigod
  • Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion
  • (Standalone expansion for Sins of a Solar Empire)

Feel free to let me know if I missed anything. Like I said, if we don't see a Midweek Madness this week, expect the sale to begin this Thursday.

I wouldn't rule it out just yet. While no midweek madness would mean the sale would almost certainly start, I don't think a midweek madness precludes the sale, either. For instance, they have added 3 new Summer 2012 collections to Steam. A Square Hits collection (including DE:HR and Tomb Raider), a Paradox collection (including Mount and Blade and Magicka), and a Kalypso collection (including... Airline Tycoon 2. Smiley: dubious). I'm still putting my money on this Thursday.

Collections are "eh" to me. If there's anything especially good, I probably already own it and you don't get duplicate copies so why bother. They're only really good if you somehow want most of the pack and yet don't own any of the games you want.

Agreed. I don't really like collections either. I'm just posting them because I'm interpreting them as large neon letters saying "INCOMING SALE"

The 2K Strategy Pack now has Civ IV: Complete Edition, Civ V: GOTY and the Stronghold Collection all for $19.99 (which is less than Amazon is selling Civ V:GOTY stand-alone for).

Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai is a lean, "buy it now" price of $7.49

EA's "Storming, Burning, Reflecting, Flaming, Sabotaging Pack" was sold out on Amazon yesterday but is now back. For $14.99 you get Bulletstorm, Burnout Paradise: Ultimate, Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, Mirror's Edge and Saboteur. Bulletstorm was a buggy piece of **** for me but I hear Mirror's Edge & Saboteur are both good. Maybe someone can speak for the other games.

Square Enix pack with Just Cause 2, Kane & Lynch 2, Tomb Raider: Underworld, Lara Croft & the Guardian of Light and Supreme Commander 2 for a svelte $7.49

Payday: the Heist is $4.99 or you can buy a four pack for $14.99 and guilt three of your friends into playing with you.

Kingdoms of Amalur is $25 on Amazon which is 38% off. I would have guessed it'd drop to 50% but maybe it will yet.

The DLC is half price though is you're still playing it.
