Thats a link to MMO-Champions newest article, and if you scroll down past the BG/Realm stuff you'll see something about a new boss in Karazhan who is supposedly serving the Lich King, Prince Tenris Mirkblood.

Quote:
WotLK World Event - New boss in Karazhan ?
This is NOT active on live servers for the moment. It looks like one of the upcoming phase of the WotLK world event will feature a new boss located in Karazhan: Prince Tenris Mirkblood. Tenris is part of <The San'layn>. The San'layn is a faction of darkfallen, renegade elves from Quel'Thalas under the rule of the Lich King.

The quest
Chamber of Secrets
The Argent Dawn Emissary wants you to search the chamber of Tenris Mirkblood within the Servant's Quarters of Karazhan.

Description
Excellent, an experienced adventurer. Precisely what we need. There has been talk from the Kirin Tor guarding Medivh's tower that something is amiss with Karazhan. There is a new power lurking within, one that answers neither to the Guardian's magic nor the Legion. From what they've scouted, it appears it is an elven prince called Tenris Mirkblood, and there is reason to believe he serves the Scourge.

Go, my friend, investigate Mirkblood's chamber, and return with any information you might find.

Rewards

This quest is indeed in game and you can actually take a look at it by using the following command (but you won't be able to link it in chat until it's active on servers) : /script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("Murlocs are awesome, this quest too: \124cffffff00\124Hquest:12616:70\124h[Chamber of Secrets]\124h\124r");

Prince Tenris Murkblood is also in game but you can't spawn him for the moment (and won't be until it's "unlocked" in the event). According to the last datamining I did on beta servers this is how he looks :

The quest seems to be given by an Argent Dawn Emissary near Karazhan. It doesn't look like this NPC is activated on live servers for the moment.

New Sub-zone
There was also a speculation about a new sub-zone, but due to a very interesting comment made by an user I removed this part from the front page as it will most likely won't be used for the event. You can still find it here

Pics are on the actual article.

So what do you all think, is it part of the next phase? Or is it something completely aside from the Zombie events? Either way I'm looking forwards to going in and kicking some pansy undead elven ***.

Yes, I know. And if you had bothered to read at all you would see it has nothing to do with zombies, it has to do with a new boss in Karazhan.

TL;DR New boss in Karazhan working for Lich King.

I think blizz realized that only about 10 players in all of WoW actually have seen the servants quarters in Kara.

They didn't want the time it took to develop that area to go to waist so they decided to put a worthwhile boss in the area.

I actually did it once just for kicks, to see what it would drop.

Plate boots of the Whale.

Never went back.

In some 2.something patch awhile back, there was mention of some bosses given badges of justice that never had them before. My initial thought was 'oh cool, now the animal boss in Kara will be done more often'.
I never did understand why this area of Kara was so neglected.

The thing most people don't realize is those animal bosses aren't really raid bosses. They are actually just rare spawns(they spawn 100% of the time it's only a matter of how many mobs you kill first). If you fight one they are not skulls, they are actually level 73(which is equivalent to a raid boss), and they have the gray (rare) dragon, instead of the golden elite. That's why they don't give badges, because they aren't actually raid bosses.

On the contrary, I think most people know they're not raid bosses and that's why they don't do it. Dating back to my first Kara trips in spring 2007, the only times I've been in there are when someone needed a little extra rep at the end of a run. Most people don't care to spend time going after mobs that aren't going to drop good loot (see the 'of the whale' post above) or badges.

But, it will be cool if they're adding a raid boss into the area. Something new to spice it up.

After some reflection, I think the animal bosses have been set up this way for (very) entry level raiders to get some rep/epic loot as they learn and wipe on huntsman etc ?

I still liked doing them. In one of my old guilds, we did them every time. As our GM liked to say 'they are part of Karazhan, and we are doing Karazhan'.
