BRAINS! : Stage 2Follow

#1 Oct 23 2008 at 3:08 PM Rating: Excellent
The blues were giggling at the people who said the event was a fail or it was too easy to cleanse the plagued ones.
But now, the plague will destroy capital cites inside out, literally.
Can't wait for stage 3 now! lol

Another file for my hunter's Zombification Journal:

DO NOT READ OR I WILL SHOOT YOUR EYES OUT!

10/24/08 11 P.M. ish.

I was trick or treating in Stormwind when I happened upon a huge, disgusting glowing roach. Yuck! No way could I let the little bugger live. I shot it down with an arrow and eeewww! Was that ever a juicy one! It sprayed bug guts all over me.

I felt the familiar tingling that I had experienced before, the same sensation I had when I was zombie attacked at Stormwind's mage portal. I knew it was coming soon...that prickling, tingling sensation of my flesh slowing dying and my tummy rumbling. I knew it...soon I would be a zombie again.

Who would I eat first? Those annoying kids running around Stormwind fighting over a stupid doll? Maybe I should hunt down the annoying guy in the Trade Chat talking about mythical political figures and some election from another universe. Whoever it was, it had to be someone of my own faction. Decisions, decisions.

And then, I heard him, hawking his "wares" in the Trade Channel. A weak human, with an unpronounceable name, selling Azerothian gold for some otherworldly currency, called "dollars". That's it. That guy had to die. I turned on my Humanoid Tracking sense, and prayed I could find him before the change had taken hold. "Infected people, do not cleanse yourselves!" I yelled in Stormwind. "Sacrifice yourselves...become a zombie, and eat that GOLD SELLER!" I found him. "He's standing in front of the Stormwind Enterance!"

Soon I found about ten other glowingly green infected people standing around the gold seller. Hurry up, and change already body! I want to become a zombie so I can eat his brain! We waited around the gold seller. "I've brought ketchup!" I told everyone with a grin.

Ahhh, an unintended bonus to the Wrath world event. Gold Spammers beware! The Zombies are coming!

Rated up for the best idea I've heard since Snowballing AFKers out of AV.

If you have the disease, will you be transformed if you commit suicide?

yes, suicide works. hellfire is the preferred method if youre a warlock. others can find a pally and get BoP'ed....that works too for some weirdly ironic reason (naturally the protection of the light will only hasten your transformation into a mindless servant of the lich king, further proving my theory that the naaru are the true root of all evil, and that germans love david hasselhoff).

Oh my god, if you can eat those kids in Stormwind City while zombified, I know where I'm going tonight when I get home.

I saw the crates in SW today and wondered what they were for. This whole event is the coolest thing since sliced mage bread.

As well all know the razing of org and sw are coming.. my personal opinion is that we will all become infected, and can not cleanse ourselfs so we are going to destroy our own cities

I got lynched by a guard from Southshore a few days before the zombies came. :( I was a lvl24 Troll mage.... I ran back to the city in zombie form and blew up on some allaince guys and waited until they turned.... Sure enough, they killed all the guards. Ah the sweet, almost brain-like, flavor of pure vengacne. :)

I logged in today for HH dailies and to check on the zombie situation and noticed right away that the buff only takes 5 mins instead of 10 now and my HP were double what they were when I was shuffling around last night!

I can't wait to see what's next!!

I'm hoping they make this a "get worse before it gets better" too - make the zombie plague more aggressive so that the zombies don't die after a period of time, thus forcing players to actually have to make an active effort to fight them an avoid having whole towns, cities and continents go zombie.

If they want to add a real level of awesome to the whole thing, then have the AD threaten to nuke a city in, say, 15 minutes if the zombies aren't cleared out once every NPC in the city is dead/zombie with the nuking killing everything in the city - players, zombies and NC animals, thus cleansing it (and maybe keeping the city zombie free for four hours so as to avoid too much disruption.

For those that were wondering, you can skip the 5 minute timer if you are a mage and use iceblock (turn you into a zombie right away) or if you use stoneform (dwarf racial).

It appears that we can no longer kill the Zombified PCs.

Yep, the major cities are screwed.

This was actually a lot of fun ....until I bunch of lv 60-70 players started attacking everyone in Dolanar(I know it's spelled wrong, the first inn out of Shadow Glen) As soon as I respawned my lv 9 elf I died again >.< I think i'll wait until this whole zombie thing is over to play some more.

Great idea, seems to have turned out badly. :/
#24 Oct 24 2008 at 7:54 PM Rating: Decent
Can you be cleansed if you let the disease stay long enough for you to become a zombie?? I wouldn't want to become a zombie on a high lvl character if I can't become unzombified.
#25 Oct 24 2008 at 8:15 PM Rating: Default
I love hallows end itself, but this zombie crap is dumb and way extreme. Interesting concept do not get me wrong and the fact you can attack other people is pretty damn sweet, but it should be like a one day a week thing during the event like how fishing is on sundays, why not make one day a zombie day per week, then that would be awesome. However, zombies just overtaking everything and you cant play the game is overkill imo.

Standing up for all of those that don't even know this site exists, this zombie thing wasn't well thought out, I have a 66 as my main, but the newby i'm trying out is getting one hit by slakers. if you're picking on lvl. 1's and you're not a level 2 you are a loser...no arguement.
