Serios (sehr-e-ous) grew up with a hunger for combat instilled in his veins. This reason for this was due to his father being a retired Dragon Knight. His father was shamed in service of duty and recieved a dishonorable discharge. This disgrace prohibited Serios' family from living in town so they then joined a caravan. With the rise of the beastmen through various areas it became unsafe for his family to remain in one place for too long. The caravan arrived along a forest of On one unfortunate night while Serios' mother sent him to hunt for food, his caravan was attacked by a merciless band of Beastmen, led by what was thought to be a demon. Serios arrived to see the result of the encounter. Tho remaining hidden as to not alert his presence to the beastmen and the demon, he seen his family and friends murdered, slaughtered like cattle for what he could see as no purpose. However he did overhear the demon say that they were looking for something but Serios did not know what. The monsters departed findin nothing, leaving Serios with the carnage. Having no remaining family the 15 year old Elvaan walked for a long time. Til finally he reached the city of Bastok. There he took up residence and began to seek training as a warrior as a way to vent his rage. His overall goal remains the same as it did on that very day... erradicate the source of evil corrupting Vana'diel to atone for his inability to protect his loved ones...
