Ok I hope this post helps all of you new sapling growers out there.
First and most important, saplings can only be grown from tree cuttings which are dropped off Gobbues in various areas. Getting these drops can require some patience even with TH2, so be patient and eventually you will get lucky. |

I've sucessfully completed this BCNM as BST solo a good 7 times now (1 Astral drop) and a further dozen times with a duo partner (be it WHM, BLM, MNK, NIN, PLD, SMN).
BST/PLD (BST/WHM takes too much damage).
I take a minimum of 6 Hi-Potions. Used only 2 at minimum, 7 at the most.

1) The greatly-added strength of the cheaper wooden rods.
