Guild Wars 2 continues its Elite Specialization reveals for Heart of Thorns, and this time around the Guardian profession is up. The Dragonhunter was conceptualized as a light-wielding bringer of justice who favors a longbow.

Normally that intro holds true, but for the next few weeks I will be flipping the tables. Instead of looking forward, the Scrying Pool will be looking back as we continue the Specialization series from a different viewpoint. Instead of speculation, I will focus on my impressions of each of the Elite Specializations after they get revealed while throwing in some of my previous articles and speculation for flavor.

Guild Wars 2: Chronomancer Revealed

ArenaNet has today started revealing the Elite Specializations coming in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns. Elite Specializations are additions to existing professions, providing access to new weapons, skills and gameplay mechanics. The first of these reveals is for the Mesmer and its Elite Specialization Chronomancer.

Guild Wars 2: Earn Beta In-Game!

ArenaNet today announced how players will be able to get access to the next Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns PvE closed beta event and it is pretty nifty. Starting on Tuesday, April 28th, monsters in the two maps added during the Living World Season 2 (Dry Top and the Silverwastes) will have a chance to drop a rare portal item. Upon looting these portals, the player's account will be flagged to gain access to the next PvE closed beta.

Guild Wars 2: Stronghold PvP Public Beta

The Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns beta continues with a test of the new PvP game mode Stronghold. This test will be a 24 hour long beta starting at Noon Pacific on April 14th. Not only will this beta last for an entire 24 hour long period, it will be open to anyone with a Guild Wars 2 account and will be played on the live client replacing Unranked Arenas for the day.
