First you have to do the Initial 3 combo. This is the first three letters of your name.

I have read on other threads that in order to get the Fortune Egg (MP +1%, VIT +1) you need the 7 of a kind combo and in order to get the Happy Egg (HP +1%, VIT +1) you need the Initial 8 combo.
The 7 of a kind combo is 7 of any letter.
The Initial 8 combo is 8 letters in a row starting with the first letter of your name. So L,M,N,O,P,Q,R,S for me. It raps around so Vociann's would be V,W,X,Y,Z,A,B,C.
There are several jobs and levels in which these two eggs are handy. Actually giving you some benefit out of an unused range slot.
