Just a question:is there any way of doing those last 5 levels without spending stupid amounts of money making things which then sell at a loss? I do have a few red recipes, but the problem is they require multiple Frozen Orbs and eternals to make, which I don't really look forward to farming, not in the amounts I need, although I will if I have to..

With all the crafting professions, the last few points can be expensive. The key is to be sure you haven't overlooked a recipe which could help you complete it at a lower cost. I highly recommend the Ackis Recipe list addon. It puts a button at the top of your profession window which will scan which recipes you already know, and allow you to present a filtered list of only the recipes you don't know. Sometimes it only requires a little travel, or an easily obtainable drop.

I wound up making Revenant's Treads for the last 7 or 8 points. I checked the AH and found a ton of cheap eternal water, so I made my pattern decision based on that. There's not much demand for the boots, but I don't think any of the i-lvl 200 epics are in much demand at this stage of the game.

I capped my LW early on in Wrath when people still wanted the starter PvP gear. That is not an option these days.

So all you can really do is make the cheapest thing that will give a skill up that might sell, will vendor high compared to cost of mats or shards good mats compared to cost of mats.

I have a tailor that is the same boat. I'm going with 20 slot bags until 450. It has been taking forever.

I don't think LW has anything that will skill to 450 that will sell easily as leg armor stops at 445 if I recall.

I had the same problem with LW in tBC as I was trying to cap it when all the options were very expensive. As such I never capped LW back then.

At least you can make money on leg kits at the very least as I don't make much money with high end LW patterns and I have just about all the leather Uld/ToC/ICC patterns and most of the pre-ICC mail ones. Granted if I had a larger nest egg I could possibly make some gold but that is not the case.

Honestly, this late in the expansion you should really ask yourself if investing the gold to cap LW is really worth it to be honest. If you don't plan on investing the gold/time to make and sell ToC/ICC gear on the market there is no need for you to cap LW at the current time.
