I read somewhere that now that blizz decided to mounts on that tab in the character pane if you get a profession only mount like the carpet or whatever, you can still use it even if you can abandon the profession afterwards. Is this true?

Nope, you would keep the mount, but you'd be unable to use it as they need the required profession skill

Correct you are, because I'm an idiot. It's a good thing I only want the carpet because I'm going to try for that dragonhawk mount if it kills me.

I thought getting the Albino Drake would be hard... but yea..it isn't. It only took me like 2 days to run around and get the mounts needed.
If I had the gold to waste, I think I could probably get close to getting the Red Dragonhawk off bought Mounts.
But meh.. I think the Albino Drake looks sooo much better.
Yeah the Albino is nice, I got it this morning actually. Now I need 43 more mounts to get to the Dragonhawk. It looks do-able, if a tad expensive since I need all the 1k+ cost mounts.
