I have just accepted the Elixir Master quest and discovered it is going to be a pain to do. When I asked around someone said they didn't think I had to do the chain any more. I can't find any info about this but I have found you can specialise in one area then pay to change and you don't have to redo the quests.

My question is can I abandon the quest "Elixir Master" (the one which asks for the elixirs and the essences) and do the easier chain for another specialisation instead then pay to change over? Or even better can I avoid the quests altogether? I cannot find any up to date info about this easily so any help would be much appreciated.

Yes, that's what I do.

I did the transmute quest because I already had a good number of the ingredients required for the 4 primal mights. Once you do that, you can talk to the quest giver to unlearn your spec (150g) and learn a new spec for free from whichever quest giver would normally start the chain. Much easier IMO.

I've picked up the potions one instead now as should be good to do botanica with some help from my hubby. I don't have any mats for primal might and there are none on AH on my server so abandoned that idea!

Thanks for help all.

Well, if you run into a roadblock for whatever reason, the mats for 4 primal mights can be farmed pretty easily in about an hour in Nagrand.

I agree with Diiz.. this is what I did. I believe the area in Nagrand is in the far North East corner of the map if I'm remembering correctly.
