FYI - chef hatFollow

Didn't see any mention so head's up for those who've already bought all of their cooking award recipes - a chef hat for 100 awards was added to the end of the recipes for sale.

Its got no stats and gives no known bonuses or anything - just a prestige item, but who knows, maybe at some time in the future they'll give it a right click "summon spices" or something?

Summoning spices from it would be AWESOME. Give it a 24-hour cooldown to get some Northern Spices.

I feel kinda dumb, I had around 70 awards saved up and blew around 50 of them on Spices a couple weeks ago. Ho hum :-P

The hat also gives an achievement, btw.

I had just a little over 100 awards on patch day. Nothing to do with them, so first thing I did when I logged on was to buy this. It's always in my bags with the rest of my toys now :D

There's a blue post to the effect that they have no plans to ever add anything to the chef's hat - it's there for flavour, and is therefore only of interest to people who care about that sort of thing. I know a number of people who are getting it anyway, and I have one myself. I just don't think anyone with the Chef title should be without it :p

is the hat achievement needed for the title?
I got like 40~50 tokens so far, thinking of either buy recipes or the hat first.

Meh. I have enough useless crap cluttering up my bags and bank, like the stupid quest and achievement tabards that can't be re-purchased if I get rid of them, without adding more. 100 awards would be 1000 spices, which would sell on the AH for 700g easily.

The hat isn't part of the meta-achievement to get the title, so go ahead and buy your recipes first.
