Bad Luck Fishing Tournament?Follow

Today I participated in my servers fishing tournament for the first time. The tournament ended and I had only 25 tastyfish. Out of the tastyfish pools, I also caught a total of 2 yellowtail, 6 cod, 4 oily blackmouth, and 6 firefin. I know I caught them out of the pool because I was the only one at the pool, my bobber was in the middle of the pool 90% of the time, and the cast right after that brought up a tastyfish. Am I supposed to be getting random fish like this in the tastyfish pools too, or just a bug/glitch/whatever? It kinda makes me mad that if all the fish I caught were tastyfish, I would have won the tournament. Since this was my first time here, I just wanted to know if it was supposed to be like that and I had really bad luck, or what.

You're always going to be catching those trash fish out of the tastyfish pools, and there's really no way cut down on them. It's annoying as hell that they made it so RNG-dependent, but it's just something we have to suck up and live with.

Yeah, I'm bitter because I haven't won the tournament yet :'(
