Mining CopperFollow

#1 Mar 26 2009 at 6:11 PM Rating: Decent
Hello Everyone:

I would like to know what I need to do to mine cooper. Do I just get training from a miner? Do I need an ax, anything else? Can I sell the copper mined?

Thanks

There's a joke here somewhere.....I just know it.

Copper, not Cooper

You will need mining as one of your chosen skills and a pick ax of some sort (which you can buy from a nearby vendor).

When you do sell the ore make sure you sell it at the auction house. Copper ore is one of the main money makers for all my low level alts, but if you vendor it you are really missing out.

I tried mining cooper but he was always complaining when I was swinging away with my pick. I told him "If you can think of an easier way to mine cooper, tell me!" but he was just crying pitifully, so I ignored him and kept mining.

Titled fixed.

For the OP - you will need to train mining from a profession trainer (see our wiki or database for that), you will need a mining pick and a low level area to work in (such as Durotar or the Barrens for Horde or Goldshire area for Alliance).

Make sure you have enough bag space as well.
