I know that saving chilled meat is a true lifesaver when leveling cooking, but what I'd love is if anyone knows of a good guide that would show me the best way to powerlevel cooking from 375-450?.

PL your fishing at the same time you PL you cooking - just sit in the starting area and work the manta ray pools and cook up everything you catch - fish will easily bring you to 425, at which point you get to the hard part.

Best I can suggest is to take a look at the 425 recipes and decide which of the two you intend to use to level up the rest of the way and then simply save all of the meat and fish used in it so that you'll have a big stockpile.

Also, you're going to need a ton of the cooking spices that you get from completing the cooking daily in Dalaran (you can also buy 10 for one cooking award) so be sure to do the daily as often as you can and save up your cooking awards (I've got 5 level 70 toons so I simply brought my alts all up to Dalaran and made sure to have them do the daily as well and then bought extra spices with thier awards).

I have yet to get past 424. I have prob done about 20 combines or more that are green (everything is green now) and no skill ups.

Personally I think its lame how they set cooking up. I don't really care if I get any higher or not. Stupid to only have 2 recipes to get players past 425 both in which require gobs of mats. Some nice stuff can be made from it but like everything else nobody will pay you what the mats are worth. Better off to just sell the spices on AH.

Fronglo, I pretty much agree. At this point once you get some of the recipes bought with cooking rewards you're probably good to go. It'd be nice to have all of them, but it's a long term goal.

I'm wondering if Blizz plans to introduce more cooking recipes in future patches. It just seems a bit odd the way it's set up. And, there are some fish types out there that don't seem to have an associated recipe. Not just junk fish either, since there are schools of them. Seems like something must be coming later.
