So as I'm leveling up cooking I'm focusing on getting the different specific meats and cursing my bad luck at ending up with so much chilled meat - actually got so much on my main that I could hook up all four alts to do the 12 meat cooking daily (yup - burning 60 a day thanks to one toon's gathering).
Now that I'm 80 though I've found that the drops have turned around on me - I kill a critter and I get the named meat that critter drops while I'm scrounging for chilled meat.
Sigh - irony. >_<
So word of warning - as you're leveling hold onto the crap - you'll need it later!

correct, you will need every kind of meat you pick up, and chilled meat drops more at the lower levels on LK. The Daily that uses 12 chilled meat will burn up the extra quickly. When get close to 400, it takes 5 different meats for 1 possible skill up. I am stuck on Feast now. Getting 1 point for over 20 pieces of meat takes alot of farming or finding on the AH at inflated proces. Almost 100 Northern Spices in bank, I know I will have to max out cooking like before. Maybe this time I will try fishing; it is still at 1.
