Does this exist for WoW?Follow

#1 Dec 29 2006 at 9:44 AM Rating: Decent
Ok, what I am describing would probably be an addon. Since I don't have excel on my computer and couldn't find a database I could download for free to create this, I came here.

What I am looking for is a way to catalog, log, and keep track of how much my herbs/potions and anything else I sold on the AH sold for (preferably in a database I can look at) then it keeps track as prices change at the AH, so I can gauge which way the overall market is heading, e.g people paid 5g or whatever for my wild steelblooom, and now I have it logged, then all of a sudden it's going for 8g and I have that saved in a database also.

I am not sure if what I am describing is translated to you as the reader of what I really want in my own mind, but maybe someone can help me out here.

I know I have a AH add on that remembers the last price I put the item for sale for but I want something that goes deeper than that like a database I can use to compare price fluctuation data and overall market trends.

I'm not sure if such a thing exists.

But, you could keep a few pages together by your computer and write this stuff down. Generally, though, prices that higher end herbs sell for are things that stick to my brain. (Like...wildvine. Tailors need it and it sells for like 1 gold for like 2 of them!)

Yeah on my server they are selling for 1g each, and I had like 8 of them from farming in the hinterlands, I plan going back there to gather more. I need to get excel and just create my own spreadsheet.

If I learned how to do add ons I would probably make this kind of addon, I wonder how many people would find it useful.

That is what I did for the wildvine. It was grinding, good money, and a total of 3 stacks of wildvine!

:P

I haven't sold them yet, due to the fact that a bunch of my guildees are GUESS WHAT!! Tailors. So, they are currently just sitting in the bank, but I'll get rid of them eventually.

Prior to the Patch, Auctioneer had a tab called "Transactions", that would display all sorts of stuff about things that you'd placed int the AH. It seems to be gone now, but maybe it will make it back in.

Auctioneer still works, you just need to get the beta version, which can be unstable. Its worth it though.

If you could create such a thing that updated daily that would be amazing, somehow keep a program watching every item on the auction house, and it logs the information into a data base. From that you could make charts showing Time the item was on the auction- in addition to sell price quantity ect. That would actually be a nice thing if you had any knowledge or if anyone had any knowledge in programming. I know I dot AI am to lazy to learn .. wish i knew it though. just a thought. I like where you are thinking with that though.

Wildvine is also used my Leatherworking for some patterns and there are 5 leatherworking quests that each call for at least 1 wildvine to get the pattern as the reward. Sells for a pretty penny too I think i bought a stack when I was doing those lw quests for about +-15g can't really remember but I know it was about 15.
