Wool ClothFollow

Where is a good place for the Horde to get wool cloth from? I need it for First Aid for my warlock, and tailoring for my priest, and everywhere I've gone, it seems to be a fairly rare drop. Are there any mobs out there that drop with the same frequency as linen cloth? Thanks!

I'm sorry, you get a 0/10 on your response. Not only did you demonstrate your lack of the basic skills of capitalization and spelling, you also tried to thinly veil the insult with a smiley and lame comment. It was also worthless and held no useful information regarding my question. So,I award you a threadfail.

I am more than capable of using Allakhazam, Thottbot, and even Google to search for information for WoW. I've done it quite enough. I even did it for Wool Cloth, and even tried killing some of the mobs listed. I've found that the frequency of Wool Cloth does not seem to be high, and I am hoping someone can point out mobs that drop Wool Cloth with the same rate as Linen Cloth.

Quillbores in the southern barrens(about level 18 and up) or furbogs in ashenvale. Neither will drop wool as fast as others drop linnen, drops do not work that way. But those are the two places that I have farmed wool for 12 toons to level FA.

Lastly wool is the second worst cloth in the game to try and farm(felcloth being the worst). so just keep it up and be happy when you get adds for silk bandaids.

Although i must admit when i read it i see a little sarcasme. Thats the thing with this form of communication, when you've asked this in real life and i gave this answer you could've corrected me and asked for a proper answer.
In that case i had the proper chance to give that answer you really needed and there where no hard feelings.

But that not the issue here, again (and hope you accept it)i apologize.

Chlkilt, apology accepted, and I ask for your pardon with my comments, which may have come off as rather rude.

You could try Hillsbrad Foothills for wool cloth. I think the humanoids there have a fairly decent drop rate.

As Horde, I like killing the dwarves in Bael Modan (southern Barrens) for wool.

The deadmines are a great source of wool cloth for me. Plus, there are always a bunch of people willing to go with you. At least, that's the case for Alliance. It may be tough for you to get there however. I am not sure if SFK would be a good place.

If you don’t mind making the trek to the Wetlands, I’ve found the gnolls in the many camps there are a good source for wool. And with the alliance town on the far end of the zone there isn’t a lot to worry about as far as alliance NPCs are concerned. Though if you are on a PvP server this could be a rather “interesting” zone for someone from the horde to farm in.

If you have a high level character I would especially recommend the Wetlands. There are several “magic” camps where you can’t kill all the gnolls no mater how fast you can kill. One or two will always spawn. This makes for fast cloth gathering for higher level characters. Not that I would ever take advantage of a game mechanic. *whistles innocently*

Wha wha wha?
I have cleared out the Gnoll camps before, sure they repsawn in under 30 seconds but I have cleard them out, the key is AoE.

This brings me to a quesion for Calabar of your 300 toons, do you have any mages or locks? I have seen you talk about most others, yet those two seem to be "i got to level 30" type stories. I know the melee classes are that way for me(rogue/warrior).

Not all the camps in the Wetlands are “magic” camps. Granted, I’ve not used AE attacks to clear out the magic camps, but I’ve used my 60 rogue and my 60 fury warrior to clear out the level 25 gnolls very quickly. And there would always be a respawn of at least one gnoll in these camps at all times. And by “camp” I also include the surrounding patrols. So it’s not just the gnolls around the fire. But they are all within close visual range.

The trog camp on the small island, in front of the larger island, in the loch was one such camp as well. In the early days my rogue used to farm linen there. It was great because it was such a small area. But that was also bad. They would fall on top of each other when they died. I spent more time trying to loot the bodies than I did killing the trogs. Blizzard “fixed” that camp a long while back. I hated to see it go, but I understood why. It was a heavily used quest location and for level appropriate characters it was a death trap.

I have a level 60 warlock. I just recently re-spent his talent points, changing from affliction to demonology. I kind of miss drain tanking, but I love the new 41 point pet. For once a warlock pet can hold agro. Now playing my warlock reminds me of playing my hunters. And for me that’s a good thing.

I have a level 40 gnome mage, but he’s more or less just a bank alt now. When I played in the open betas I played a dwarven mage. To my great disappointment, Blizzard removed mage from the classes a dwarf could choose. So I picked another short race to play. But it wasn’t the same. I just couldn’t get into playing a gnome. So come the expansion I plan to play an ice mage. I just don’t know if my mage will be the new alliance race or the new horde race. I love the look of the male blood elves, the first male horde race that isn’t in dire need of a chiropractor. But I’m not sure if I can leave my alliance character behind. Either way it’ll be interesting to see if I enjoy playing a mage of a different race. I do tend to prefer melee characters, but I think an ice mage has interesting possibilities.
