where do I go to get my engineering past lvl 225?
Gadget I think ?
I'm fairly certain that you have to chose a path for engineering now, be it Goblin or Gnome. I haven't taken engineering myself though..

You don't actually have to choose a path yet if you havent decided yet, although you won't have alot of recipes available to level your engineering.
Oh and BTW, the master engineering trainer is in Gadgetzan.

...and you can't get past 225 if you aren't level 35 yet.
Correct, lvl 35 is the sweet spot when it comes to most proffesions.
