I just started playing WoW about a week ago, i have a lvl 18 Character, a good guild and am enjoying my self.
I got my first aid upto 119 in just 3 days and i do enjoy to craft.
I decided to pick some main ones now, i choose Alch and Herb.
I just have a question, when seacrhing for herbs are thre better places to go for certin types, for example i run around goldshire for an hour and just find a few random ones here and there.
I seem to find it slow especially if i am looking for a certin type.
Does anyone maybe have a Guid for new players on herb and Alc i migh be able to read up on?

I dont know of any good guides on herb alchemy - but if you are looking for specific herbs the best thing you can do is type in the name in the search box to the left to find locations.
But since you are herblism and alchemy, the absolutely best advice i can give you is to go to the tradeskills page, look up the potions you can make and click the herbs on the list.

Click alchemy, and there is a general list and you can go from there. Crafting professions arent hard, and really a guide isnt needed in most instances.

Yes, certain areas generally have certain herbs. As you found out, Elwyn is basically just peacebloom and silverthorn with a smattering of Earthroot. As you go to higher level areas, you'll find herbs that require higher levels of skill to pick. The advice you got about typing the name in the box to the left is very good, since I believe Alla will give you a list not only of what areas have the highest percentage of what herb, but a map of exactly where each herb grows (though they will not always be there when you check, due to spawn times and other people picking them as well).
