22 is pushing it, you can get wool but it'll be a slow grind. When I was leveling tailoring on my priest I tried killing the razormanes in southern barrens with some success, but it still felt like it was taking too long so I ended up just eating the cost and bought it. The wool stage of my tailoring went soooo slow, but once I was able to do silk stuff it flew.

Yes....ty for this.......after spending most of the day trying (and turning up fruitless) i think i may have to bite the bullet and pay.

Thanks

There are at least a couple of “magic” gnoll camps in the Wetlands I like to use for gathering wool. They are magic in that even if you had 20 level 60 characters killing in one of those camps they could not keep all the mobs dead. At least one will be up at all times. It makes it handy when you have a higher level character that can kill them quickly. But at your level I don’t think this will be of much help.

There used to be a magic trog camp for linen cloth on the small island in the loch next to the fort. But it was a high traffic area for players, including a quest item in the camp, so Blizzard had to fix it. *sigh*

Deadmines is a good place to get wool if you don't mind running with groups - it seems like someone is always looking for one, and you may even be able to talk them out of their wool as well. Beyond that, the best choice is probably to look up "wool cloth" in the search box to the left, and try to find something you're comfortable slaughtering that has it.

Ah yes, you are totally right about the Deadmines for wool. You could see about making a deal with your group to skip out on all items except "blues" in exchange for receiving all the wool that drops. Some PuGs may balk, but you may find a good group that agrees to it. A good run should yield 3 stacks at least that way.

/QFT - I always end up with a ton of linen and wool there.

The Troggs at the excavation in Loch Modan seemed to drop well too, but use the search feature and what you want to kill.

Say, if you get a few levels higher, I'd suggest Hillbrad Farms. But then again, there are better places...

This reminds me of a convo I had with a friend of mine who was just starting WoW.

Her "Ok, I need Wool for my tailoring. I guess I should go kill some sheep?"
Me "Err. No. You don't get wool from sheep o_O"
Her "Then who do you get it from o_o"
Me "...people"

I thought it was funny.

Anyway, any instance will serve you right. VC is nice, Stockades is nice (and shorter, which rocks), Gnomeregan is... weird but fun. You could always solo them if you feel up to just grinding on the trash elites for mats and leaving the bosses out of it (Or hell, take out the bosses if you feel you really can ;) )
